Wow, I've seen that one before too. Did you take a look at the Mirage video that pops up beside it in the "related" column?? Now that guy didn't flinch...
probably i confused the tipe i remember the gr3 but the video seems the one i see
rtoo speed makes ugly results, too relax don't make results
bsyamato .... What's your Sea harrier Vance, the old kit? i know airfix produced a new sea harrier.

Nope, it's the new-tool kit. Panel lines are traditional Airfix - so heavy I probably won't need to run a wash in there at all, the shadow should take care of it for me! But everything generally looks good, the decals look fine and the price was right.
bondoman - yep, those lights are OBVIOUS i that video... foil + a drop of superglue? What are the odds of visiting the local giant craft shop and finding some clear sparkly fake jewel to stick in there??
LOL, you think he might have messed his nice white trousers

found a gr3 too but not able to find now
Nice Vid Vance, a different way to cut grass thats for sure.
That's a nice video. One of the character marks were those lights on the leading edge of the pylons, which were remarked on by the troops they attacked. I tried a little piece of mirror foil but it didn't do it justice. One of the little details left to do.

I have pdfs of Model Aircraft Monthly from June of 2007 featuring several Pucara builds, some good info there. (May have come from you iirc??) I think maybe the NMF portions I'm remembering are the unpainted control surfaces.
VanceCrozier I need to check out the painting options & make sure I do one of the ones he didn't. I think I remember seeing one with some NMF showing through the camo.

Those Pucaras do look very nice, tempted to get one my self even though its way out of what i normally build. Hopefully the Harrier won't give you to many dramas.
Yup, Sea Harrier is first up for this GB. I figure it is something I can pick away at with my "summer modelling hours" in effect. Between yardwork, softball, a little vacation time - the bench time gets cut into pretty deeply. I'm thinking I'll need to be a little more focused before I start in on the Pucara. Looking forward to that though now that I've seen bondoman's pics. I need to check out the painting options & make sure I do one of the ones he didn't. Not really what you want right at the start of the build. Hopefully that will be the worst of any issues. It is the Sea harrier you have started on, correct?
I wasn't in the mood for anything too intensive last night, but I had to do something... did a few minutes of parts clean-up. Did a little cockpit assembly and joined the upper & lower wing halves on the SHAR... which revealed issue #1. The undersides are a little longer than the depression they are meant to fit into, required a little trimming to allow them to fit into the fuselage halves. Not a big deal, but I was hoping to not have any surprises on the first pieces I put together!
bondo, looking very nice there. I really do like the look of these aircraft.
vance, no, i have been on my Hols up near Great Yarmouth, so well away from whats been going on. And they not called in the Army yet.
bondoman Now should that C-130 be Argentine, or RAF?
Now should that C-130 be Argentine, or RAF?
imho just check the actually less represented airforce and put on the insigna to equilibrate forces
No not nacelles It's really tiny in there and the wheel well is big. I am going to put a pin in one of the front tires and put it on a base, at least for photos. Easy enough.
Thanks guys! This kit turned out to be a bit of a hassle. I'm glad I finished it.
Looks good bondoman! But now you've got me thinking about sawing the canopy open as well. I'll see how my cockpit turns out before deciding! Did you add any weight to the engince nacelles? Looks like there's room for some lead fishing weights, BBs etc.
great bondoman
try to fix some weight on the engines if propellers are not fixed (or in the same propeller ogives) , a low risk to pay for looking at this great build in right position.
Waiting for final pictures
Lovely Pucara!
You pick the right color. Looking forward to see the final result.
Almost done. Just have to do a preflight, add the windscreen wiper and whatever else I notice missing.
I resorted to sawing the canopy up and posing the back part open, with some scratched up pistons etc. The rockets were pilfered from an A-26 kit. It's really too bad the kit did not come with ordnance.
Tail sitter too!
More this weekend, and I'll be shaking out the C-130.
~GASP!~ Last post on August 3?!?!
I've been looking at my Sea Harrier & considering spending a session on the cockpit or underwing stores, but I remember what happened to Adolf & Co. when they opened up that Eastern front! Coming close to finishing off the "lingering builds" I have on the go, looking forward to the SHAR within the next couple weeks.
Anyone heard from Bish?? Hope he's not too close to the action in London & area....
Bish VanceCrozier: Just nicely back from a 10-day vacation. Now I'm trying to catch up on all the work at my office! What, by surfing the forum and catching up and what you have missed. Don't worry, we won't tell the boss

sounds like you guys are in the same type of heat wave us folk from the Midwest USA are in...temps in the high 90s (today was 97! (36* C)) with high humidity pushing the heat advisory up to 115*F! (46*C) Not to mention the flooded river we have adding extra moisture, and swarms of bugs!

Now that I'm here, where am I??
Thanx for comments Azorean
Jere,
Here the temperature at the summer is not so high (26/28ºC) but the humidity is always above 80-90% so the temperature sensation is much higher.
I will copy the system you have at you cabinet.
bsyamato,
I enjoyed very much your SUE. Congratulations.
