I couldn't model without my airbrush now. Even for simple one colour schemes and interious. I just find it so much easier than brush painting.

But, as your Corsair shows, you can still get good results without one. Nice job.

never used one for 20 years.... i know need one especially for blurry mixing of camo or just better priming. With my corsair i needed lots of layer to simulate blurry without one

I can't argue against "one less thing to worry about"! I went 15 years+ without one. I was debating on whether I should get one or not, then the owner of the company I was working at walked into the office with a little cash bonus for everyone. I decided "the company is buying me an airbrush" and went for it! I still don't use it as much as others, but it comes in quite handy sometimes.

Hey gang, sorry for the absence, the office has taken on a whole new level of ridiculousness. (I've spent more time updating my resume than at the bench lately ) Anyway, I've only got a couple minutes to duck in here this morning as well.

bondsman - the Pucara looking good, can't wait to get mine out, but I have other kits to finish up first. I hear ya with the rain, I can count on one hand the number of sunny days I've had in the past month on the east coast. I think I'm getting moldy…

I shot the underside with light blue.The usual recommendation is Hu 65 which is also RLM65 Hellblau. I put a coat on and it was way too aqua. So i mixed some 65 with "Duck Egg Blue", shot that on. Then I came back with pure DEB and highlighted the middle of the biggest panels. I'm pleased with the results. Next, start the topside with Hu 121 tan.

Recently i see a commemorative box of airfix about falkland war with 4 or 5 kits in, included the pucara, someone know the quality of it? (pucara only)

just added the hud on the sue, so i can glue the front canopy to start last passages to finish it

just need to add on the upper canopy frame a little intsrument (probably a compass) and i'll glue it.

Bondo, thats coming along very nice. Some great looking builds on this GB so far and its still early days yet.

At the end used the 40 from humbrol to paint the exocet ogive, also start the hud before to use main paint.

The sunlight don't strike directly the exocet, then the color looks like light gray .my opinion is that are same color scheme seen in actual pictures.

The kit don't have the central pod (another fuel tank?)

See a picture of the 202 with exocet ogive painted in light blue (celeste) but think is wrong

Seeing some pictures just before the planes takeoff for the missions the exocet ogive looks like a kind of dirty white.
