Very nice Hog there Kermit!! Really like it. Very cool.

I think I've sanded the nose enough to look good to me. Gotta finish fixing the seams now.

Medicman,

I don't envy you looking at the pictures. That must be/ have been alot of sanding and fiddling around!Yes

Baron,

Looking good from my end[;] Could you post a sidewall pic that is more at a straight angle? For a first scratch effort i concur with miss Owl: nice job soldier!

Well,......

Here she is after almost a week of decalling and fiddly bit assembly, all done and ready to take off:

scary side:

Did i mention decals...? This is just the ALQ119 pod...:

Sooo,.... this one goes on the shelfSmile Hope you guys like my work and special thanks to miss Owl for hosting this interesting GBYes Hope you like my take on this Hog (woops,....sorry Vetteman)Propeller

the seat-belts look good, RRB. The cockpit is good for a first scratch-build, too.

Gamera, Medicman: I know both of you will be able to tame your builds...cant wait to see more!

here is what stage im currently up too on my P-39Q

this is the 1st time ive ever painted & made seatbelts before, did i do ok?

and here is what the cockpit currently looks like. i had to everything from scratch since airfix doesnt give you anything to detail. Sad

the front panel where all the dials and things are i made from scratch and im painting all the dials on it today, before i go to Hobart (the capital of my state, tasmania).

i would appreciate comments Big Smile, so what do you think of my first attempt of painting/detailing a cockpit?

I dont hate decalling my builds, not at all.....

But these "super decal sheets" that revell pops in to some of their offerings sometimes take you awhile...Ick! Just about halfway through after two evenings... Just the undersides left and all the ordnanceYes

MAJ Mike

 Gamera:

Thanks guys! Think I've got the intake fixed, if I can keep from breaking it again- somehow every time I pick up the model my fingers seem to close right over the wing root and the intakes.

I think I see your problem.  Giant flying turtles don't have opposible thumbs! Wink

Yes, thankfully my little buddy Kenji helps me with the delicate stuff.

MM: Yes, I've had resin parts push everything out of alignment too. Looks like you have the matter in hand though, sometimes you just have to sand the krap out of things Angel

Good save there Gamera. Kit's looking good too.

Here's what I'm dealing with.

There's a step there on the nose where it attaches to the fuselage. Working on fixing that.

Ouch!  That'll be a challenge to fix,  Looking great, otherwise.  As I said on another thread, GB's push me beyond my comfort zone.  However, you've got the skills to fix it like it never happened.

Cheers. Toast

Great work on the A-10 Kermit and fantastic work on the pilot!

Ok, here is the Dark Shark, frankly the fit isn't too bad for a limited run kit. The big problem is where I accidentally smashed the starboard intake (circled in green in the last photo).

kermit

LOL,

Ok you nosey people....

It is dutch in fact and Baron was saying that he was hoping to work some more on his P39, adding scratched details to the cockpitWink

I guess we should stick to english to prevent people from getting confusedStick out tongue

Richard

I'm always confused so it wouldn't be a change for me.

Nice work on the A-10 Kermit!!

Well i'm gonna be really working on the Tomcat tomorrow. Been at work a lot lately so I haven't gotten to work on it. There's a small step at the resin nose and the fuselage that's gonna give me heck.

Hey guys n gals,

Basic camo has been applied, as well as a mild black wash overall to bring out the engraved stuff. Since this kit has alot of raised detail i am planning on doing some drybrushing as well:

Having the canopy posed open ofcourse i did some work on a little pilot dude:

More to follow soonWink Hope you like her
