Well yeah Richard my screen looked like a game of scrabble man Stick out tongue Couldnt resist the temptation to rattle your cage a bit. Stick out tongue

Cant wait to see your ummmm Warthog buddy. Hey got a bit of work done on the P-51 today, have the flaps almost ready to go back on. Then the ailerons get the same treatment. The fusealoge is all smoothed out already too, kind of suprising to me after building a half dozen of these kits, not much in the way of seam troubles. This is an older kit too in the small box not the larger repop, that must be the differance the molds were newer when this kit was made I guess. I am going to try and build another this year but I want to do it Griffon powered with the 5 blade prop, should look really cool swinging that thing off the nose.

Going to spray an A10 today.... Done some preshading last night and hope it will show through. In the end i decided to stick with a standard grey two tone; you'll seeWink

Hey peeps,

Just popping by to show a little WIP stuff. Basic construction is pretty much done and i am doing some last filling and masking stuff as we speak. I chose to have this one displayed with opened up canopy, stairs attached and pilot inside so i did not attach the canopyGeeked.

Lots of hardpoints on this oneCool... Still trying to decide wether or not to load her up. I did assemble some ordnance...:

Also along the way i made the brilliant choice of having the airbrakes cut up and closed. I almost wish i didn't...lots of work on that area. Plus to make matters worse i boo boo'ed Ick! and tried to glue stuff the wrong way round causing some nasty marksEmbarrassed. Revell styrene glue is pretty agressive ya know... Will sort it out tho.:

More to follow soonWink

Owl the Hog is is an awesome build and I'd fly it in any neighborhood! Yes  Come to think of it, they could use an A-10 in Chicago right now.  Really like your paint scheme on this one.

I dunno CallSignOwl me thinks Kermie is gonna have his work cut out for him keeping the bar you set for the A-10. Yours is magnificent, just wish I could have heard the sound effects that went along with its photo-shoot in your backyard. There is lots of that that goes on in the mancave Stick out tongue, sound effects that is, ever wandered how a P-51 would fair against a Tomcat in a dogfight ? Actually if I had flightsims I think it would be an interesting pairing. Hey did ya notice I didnt call it a hog ???  Awwww man I did it again geeze Embarrassed

sound effects?  I added a Psssssssskooo, and a Neeeeerrrrrnnnnnn and a Bkkkkkkkkk, for the Gatling gun. Up, thats how it went!  Wink

actually ive done somrhting similar, P-40N vs. Tomcat.

P-40N - piloted by me (red baron), got 9 kills.
Tomcat - piloted by some guy from Asia, got 8 kills and crashed once.

Part of the problem with all those bad seams is the True Details resin cockpit. It got in the way of the nose gear roof. I sanded the crap out of the bottom but it still got in the way. That's the reason for the gaps. Oh well, call it a learning experiance.

Medicman: You've got some nasty seams to deal with, too.

I'm thinking about draping a camo net over the seams on my T-62's aux fuel tanks.  Sometimes "hiding the problem" is an appropriat technique.

Your's is coming along nicely.

And pics of it reattached. Had to add some styrene into a gap under the resin gun. Lots of filling and sanding to come next.

Ok. Got the gun and nose attached. That was not fun. My first attempt got the nose glued on in the wrong position. Had to take it off (scary) and reattach it. Here's the pics of before.
