bsyamato, great work on the Gouf! It looks fantastic, I really like the way you've weathered it. And good pics as well! I like your Zaku I from your family picture. I don't think I've seen an example of one weathered they way I like it, but I do like the way yours is weathered. I've been thinking of making a Black Tri-Stars Zaku I but I've been afraid I wouldn't like the way it looked when finished. Looks to me like if it's weathered well I should like it just fine.

Many thanx for comments Doctor Toast

Smeagoal i build some ship but ships and cars are my weak point Surprise my best things are about aircraft/helicopters and gunpla.

In 1/700 build only a kirishima from fujimi and have in the stash the (bad kit) hobbyboss arizona in same scale.

others ships finished only the hasegawa Yamato 1/450... too old to remember how i did it

Again in the stash i have some good thing as the academy bismark 1/350, the italeri hood  and the russian carrier kuznetsov 1/720, the lincoln carrier 1/800 , i'm waith to get too more knowledge about ships before to ruin these kits Cool

so... updated the frontpage and here few updates about gogg, ,it's time to finish the fatty one too Embarrassed

the visor/monoeye and the head basement

these main pieces received more red layers ...sigh Sad

Bsy, I know you have done alot of different model types with a good amount of success. Have you ever done model ships in 1/700?  I have gotten a few recently, 2 IJN destroyers and a IJN carrier and want to build them but I am lookin for tips

Smeagol - I know the feeling.  My 1/100 Gouf's leg had broken off, so it was just stufffed up the skirt for the photo.  The 1/144 GM Command has a split hip polycap, so it can't stand very well.  All of my older kits that lack polycaps have gone completely floppy.  I had to tread very softly while taking the photo, so as not to make the Grablo's (the little crabby-looking thingie) arm fall down.

Badlanguage - No shame, your Zeon army has to start somewhere!  I agree that the HG Zaku is better detailed than the later HGUC kit.  Too bad Bandai was doing the exposed polycap elbow joints when the original 08th MS Team kits came out.  They are actually very good looking kits, even by today's standards.

Bsyamato - Yes, the 1/144 Gouf is the HGUC kit.

Thanks, bsyamato! I agree about the old vs. new Zaku. I have an HG Zaku that I'm getting ready to start on, and the old kit is really a lot more detailed! The joints in the old one really gave me problems when I was painting and finishing the model, though. Can't wait to build the HG and compare the two.

only two but really good! My opinion is that this old zaku is the most detailed (out of thr RG) kit in 1/144 , only the hands and movevents are a real problem.

great collection Klik.

Who is this guy

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v479/DrShrinker/odds/8mim9b50.jpg

as Bsyamato said, its the 'Cheapy' version of the Gouf Flight type from 8th M.S. team, from one of my favorite episodes, "Shuddering Mountain Part II".

It's a 1/144th scale kit, and had very little detail to it (still does), and needed to be almost entirely painted, especially on the legs. However, my brother only painted the parts that really needed it, and did an excellent job.

Maybe I'll get another with the four kits that we got for Christmas:

1/144th Super Custom Zaku F2000 (mine), 1/100th GN-X (mine, seen in a previous post), 1/144th Gundam Exia Repair II (my brother's), and 1/144th Gundam Arios Trans-Am mode (my brother's, from 00's second season).

Unfortunatly, no OYW stuff, and I'm really itching for a GM, Gundam RX-79, or yet another Zaku. HmmmmHmm Must have a trip to LHS!

Keep up the Great work.

a great finished line up Real!! the oldest kits are really rare things! like that no shine colors are there Big Smile

what's the little gouf between the gelgogg and the zaku, the hguc?

DR if you get the hg fliyng gouf you're lucky ! are out of production from many years Surprise main problem of the kit are the hands and elbow and knee not coveredd pieces, then with soft plastic media, hard to paint but not bad as old kit, also a good kitbashing is easy using it with the new hguc custom gouf (at least i think Hmm )

Great lineup Bsyamato!

Here are all of the Gundam kits I have that are finished:

Gundam-All Kits

Note the heavy Zeon influence!  I didn't notice until I took the photo that I only have stuff from around the One Year War.  I have piles of kits from other series like Zeta and Char's Counterattack, but I haven't gotten around to building any of them.  I think I have more unbuilt Gundam kits than most stores.  Embarrassed

I did a little more detail painting on the Dom's thrusters last night.  Hope to roll out the airbrush and get a coat of primer on this weekend!

Thanks for the info. That is a cool design, I might have to pick one of those up. the 1/144 scale stuff seems to be pretty fairly priced.

great eye DR Yes one of my favourite ms, is the gouf fliyng version, was discussed in the gb in some page but heres my interpretation of this old kit: is an hg unfortunately no hguc or mg are avaible of this good subject.  I'm tempted to use my old custom gouf MG to do a conversion.

heres an old picture of the probably conversion base old gouf custom MG with my char's zaku before to finish it

about the family picture these are old shots of my unfinished kits

the second copy of the great hi-gogg hguc kit

the magnific kampfer hguc

the old... ooold jagd doga kit bad start painted with acrilycs

marasai and gyan ready for future wips but actually freezed, taken no pictures before the dismemberibg Indifferent

and the guncannon too

All others kits are finished Toast

this afternoon panel lined the backpacks of gogg and gouf, this night decals and so on Hmm

dom need really some dust you're right Embarrassed

i miss the dust and groung effect too Whistling lazy me too.. some day (read probably never) need to add the mote legs terrain weathering. The gouf effectively was the first correct weathering ground done (not perfect) triyng to apply some armour type weathering.

The collective Pictures is a good idea, will try to get one when gouf and gogg finished!

Keep on posting guys Yes

Badlanguage - I'll see if I have more photos of the Zaku.  I really need to get on with weathering my Gundam kits like Bsyamato.  I think I'm too lazy (read: chicken) to dirty up my models.  The Dom that I'm supposed to be working on really needs to have dust effects, as the hovering system would kick up a storm of debris.

Klik - Great "family portrait" you got there!  We should all do the same and post - it would be interesting to see what everyone else builds.  (I only have two built GMs in my collection, so you know where my allegiance is!  Devil  Sheeegu Jion!!!)

BTW, I actually worked on some GB related stuff last night.  It was mostly detail painting, so I'll take some photos when I get a coat of primer on the Dom.

Klik pictures looks not bad (even if viewing from house with my old gone monitor..... the new lcd going to the trash Bang Head )

,edit the post and add the other previous zaku pictures so you have more pictures for the zaku gallery Yes

that collection is awesome!!! (too many whites for my taste but good Whistling LOL ... but a pinky tieren!! ) as for the unpainted ones you even can paint them Wink (during night if your boother don't want so )

See only the first 25 episodes of 00 gundam, don't remember the one you show Black Eye story i like but out of the tieren few others i like

Thanx for comments about the gouf guys, just did the gloss paint and weathering on the laest pieces then final pictures probably this weekend Propeller

On the gogg some glossed parts too and started the monoeye/head detailing but no pictures Sad

Real the green zaku  is great!!! the shading is about perfect Toast

I'm back, with Pics!

First off, the Zaku (I hope that these will work for you allZip it!):

Dangnabit, I didn't notice the poor background until now (I just taped white paper to the wall). Oh well, they'll have to do (for now?).

Plus a bonus image. I took a photo lineup of all the Gundam kits that my brother and I have built up till Christmas, and got this:

Sorry that its a bit blurry, but that is 45 kits, total (counting the diorama, of course--notice that it is the same diorama that my Zaku was standing on). Unfortunatly, my brother doesn't like to paint, so only my kits are fully painted, and only a few at that.

I hope that this is terribly off topic, not being One Year War and all, but I wanted to share this as well. I broke out the GN-X from 00. Don't know if any of you have seen Gundam 00, the latest series (at least in English), but this represents the one of the most advanced 'mobile suits' from the first season. I've almost finished it, and I am mighty proud of how its turning out. Without further preamble, I give you this:

Same cruddy background, I know.

Keep up the Great Work, everyone.

bsyamato, I'm loving the Gouf. Great work so far! Can't wait to see the completely finished pics!

Real G, I really like that Zaku. I didn't think I'd like one that looked as clean as that one does, but I do. More pics please?

For your perusal and general amusement, here is a look at a HGUC Zaku II that got the polished monoeye treatment like the Gog:

Zaku-Front View-2

I think it delivers a lot of bang for the buck, and is the perfect way for lazy people like me to get that "monoeye look."  Note that the kit's monoeye guard was molded in a very dark grey and was only polished, not painted.  The lazy factor soars like the Minovsky particle count during an attack!  With all that time and money saved, I invested in a set of B-Club resin manipulators, the improvement compared to the kit hands you can see here as well.

Okay, laundry is done and it's leftovers for dinner, so I hope to get some bench time tonight!

bsyamato

Thanx Doctor,  waiting also for more of your gundam arts Toast as you not see nothing about gundams (if i right remember ) you're totally free of preconceptions and your gundam builds are really original Cool

Thanks,I have watched a few since i started building the kits. But now i feel like a maroon for putting EFSF decals on a Sazabi. :P

i havent touched a new kit since finishing the Gelgoog. I'm still looking for a good deal on a 1/100 Kampfer. In the meantime Ive been attempting to kitbash a mech. (sorry no pics uploaded yet)

not only susages, all types of things you can do with pig meat Toast

your gogg eyes really done the impression of complete eye mod!! great.

some update

Recently i brought the revell contacta clear glue to have some specific glue for all clear parts of my kits:

i make a test with the gogg visor and it work!!

On gouf finally going to the end

when doing the monoeye i was ready to heat the red clear plastic and fit in some hole as mould but i noticed that the plasctic asumed a good shape itself when the flame was near to the sprue Indifferent

then i fixed it with a back rod, added some metal structure ,painted and finished.

remaining working parts

fixed the armor break and after lots of try it work as the original

now need only to fix the metal wires in final way. As rotating part i used a semi-soft plastic sprue

till i started to build gunpla i never trashed a sprue Tongue Tied between even some usefull aircraft sprues but few ones.

Also the mg 2.0 zaku and gouf sprues are not here.. too many sprues!

then some anticipation about skeleton final pictures

and the armours parts mounted on the workbench

that's all for the gouf wip, next pictures will be the finished Toast
