I''ve been busy on other builds lately but sure I could fit another one or two here in before year end so extension welcome from my side

Have recently acquired Val, Kate & Grace  kits (all Hasagewa 1/48) to add to my Jap collection which I am looking forward to, Then there's still the box of single seater fighters I intended to do ......

1/48 F-22 Raptor; F-22 Idolmaster,  DH Vampire, Saab Gripen

1/72 C-130 Hercules; Vulcan

Well, I wouldn't mind pushing on to the end of the year and Bsyamato had mentioned an interest. That makes two and with you Doogs as a possible three.

Anyone else interested in an extension???

Gamera

Sorry, I've kinda let things down on my end here, but I've been a little burnt out lately. Almost all the decals on the tail of my Zero silvered and I've tried a number of things but can't remove it, I guess I'll have to paint it all over and try to piece together replacement markings. I just hate to take the plunge. Haven't done much of anything to the small tank, it's been sitting there in the box since I posted it. Embarrassed

Sounds like me on the P-47 GB...but I'm thinking my next build after the current trio will be a Jug of one kind or another (torn between a 1/32 Hasegawa or 1/48 Tamiya).

If you were to extend it to, say, end of the year I might be down for another build. Had a lot of fun with the George and wouldn't mind tackling another meatball special.

On the Bench: 1/32 Trumpeter P-47 | 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109G | 1/144 Eduard MiG-21MF x2

On Deck:  1/350 HMS Dreadnought

Wow, I've just scanned through the completed builds, this GB has been huge. Can I sneak in late with a Kawanishi Shiden 'George' ? It's the 1/72 Tamiya one.

Cheers

Tony

Sure! You're more than welcome! The GB is set to end on Sept 1 so you've got about a month and half to go. Bsyamato has brought up the idea of an extension so if you run over a little it's no big deal.

Thanks guys I always like putting neat little things like the crane on my bigger models.

bsyamato Thanks for the tip i am still experimenting with thinning after spilling half a bottle in our shed once (the only spot i am allowed to mix paints).

Thannks BW but now my next big kit is the Revell Ju 88 1/ 32 scale.

Yamato finished!!! Toast well done FRIGHTFUL6_7 !! nice idea about the lifeboat on the back crane Yes

As you paint with brushes (if i'm right about) try to thinning more paints next time, some error is visible on some point

LOL :D i wishing for an extension , theres another one or two  jap planes that wishing to add here Embarrassed

Ok, I'll keep that in mind! I'll ask around again when we're down to a month or less to go HmmTime

Again, crossing my fingers that I'll have the Zero done before too much longer.

Plus I've done a little work on this, not sure I can get done in two months but that gives me more incentive to start an extension myself:

Thanks for all the feedback guys! And woohoo my first badge!

I've had a great time doing this group build and hope to do a lot more in the future.

Gamera: I actually do have a Hien in the stash too but two weeks would probably be pushing it I think, and not with that curse hovering around.

Frightful: I've been waiting for a long time to see some nice photos of that Yamato of yours.

Frightful: Good to hear, sounded pretty rough, glad to hear everything and everyone is fine.

Thanks Gamera but the wind is really the only danger here.

Blitzwing: Ok got your photo up on the roster - right at the top! If you'd like me to change anything let me know. Again- beautiful model, the chipping is superb! Yes

And we've still got two weeks to go if you want to do a second model Wink

Oh everything is fine our house is from world war 2 when they built the stuff as bunkers so no harm.  The last one came in right over us, last august, and knocked a tree over in to our neighbors and barely dented the roofing lol.

Blitzwing: She looks great! Love the yellow drop-tanks, the white spinner, and the tail pattern. Hopefully the fogging will finally clear up as the paint goes 100% completly dry. I should be able to get your photo posted to the roster tonight. I'm assuming the first photo is ok by you?

Frightful: Sounds nasty, I hope you and your family are safe. Love to see photos when things calm down.

And this is the final result.

Strangely, it still fogs up occasionally even though it has a second coat of clear and matt over the first coat so go figure? Mr Surfacer still works so not too hard to clear it up whenever it fogs up.
