Reasoned You have my support, that is a ton of work, best of luck with it and I bet it turns out great. After this if you feel under-challenged.... just pick up the Mono B-36.

Too huge thing for me but really like the plane!! Just ordered the new revell halifax (and near to get the fw-200 too ) withouth having space to put the other giants i have in the stash....
Thanx Trey, i think about to finish with same scheme but needed almost the tail numbers in future hope to get another copy to finish in the original way
Right now repairing a break near the wing tip
Bsyamato what a shame it was a cool looking scheme,I know it will come back even better. Looks well on the road to recovery already!!!

On the Tarmac: 1/48 Revell P-38
In the Hanger: A bunch of kits
Re-glued the claude and repaired some plastic break/hole with plastic inserts and some tamiputty cure
After sanding and rescribe panel lines in deeper way here actual state
Not in picure but added the ignition wires to the engine
LOL ! yes was a pretty version
Already at good point with repairs, the thinner i used to remove paint break lots of glued parts, but i accept the challenge!! The zero was more strong when removed paint than this one !!
Oh man, those markings were so cool too. Tough break.
Eric
Ahh man that sucks!
so..
Automatic paint chipping during the masking for the black band, then returning back!!!
Now i'm constrained to go with one of other two planes in NMF included in the decals, tail will keep the red but now need to paint the hinomaru
Decals on, some break and one of black large bands destroyed not too happy with the general looking of the finish, evalutating to remove paint and restart but here the actual state of claude
theres was lots of Claude with NMF Eric but not this box. Decals includes 3 planes with the yellowish metal
I'm going for the box art plane ,pilot Matsuo Hagiri on the Soryu carrier in the 1939
As i read somewhere, planes was originally NMF but the action of the sea toned it to yellow
For sure i want in future another one or two version of this same kit to use other camouflage included some shiny NMF
If all goes right must looks like this:
Actually painting another layer glossy, probably able to put decals this afternoon
I was kind of looking forward to the NMF. Oh well, I'm sure it wil look fine.
make vacancy for me too Cliff!! I need to waith till august at least
3 or 4 days painting the claude with this strange mix ,trying to match the real effect
and this the result, had lots of problems with the under silver coat, never really dry
Ok guys, I heading off for vacation/holiday tomorrow (Sat.) I'll be back in about a week and a half, so if anything comes up hang on to you hats till then.
God I've been gone way to long. There has been great stuff done, now to get motivated
Jason
Rick, Sounds good!
I really need to get back to work on my Zero when i get back from vacation.
Gamera, I'm itchin to put something else together in this GB. I'm going to dig around in the stash to see what I can come up with. Rick.
The red-tail is a very nice contrast to the NMF.
Bsyamato: Happy you're enjoying the GB. Nice job on the Claude- the red tail looks great with the aluminum plane.
Gamera .... I had planned for September the 1st unless you people want to just keep going. ....

if in time i have more bullets to shot here, but first need to finish other GB's included the Tigerman's Italian GB
Cliff, for sure this is the GB where i put more kits with pleasure
here the actual claude, just remover the red masking
need to correct some error on the separating line and can put the clear varnish with a micro drop of yellow on the metal surfaces.
The engine and other pieces are even at good point
tigerman How long is this GB going? To the end of the year?

I too am amazed we're up to page 110, when I started this I wondered if I'd get enough entries to do a GB and page 110 and we're only about halfway though- WOW
DoogsATX bsyamato - that thing looks really nice out in the sun! Wish I had such a natural backdrop to work from. Can't complain with the Texas Hill Country, but it's not the Med!

my lucky is that the med is the only side that don't show the real size of kits and i can cheat on it. Texas Hill could be a good backdrop for armour. Also you see from live the mediterranean sea, but i don't see from live no texas hill or others USA countryes
BTW i'm used in summer to have some excursion in the mountains here, will try to get some picture
Thanx Wabashwheels keep in mind that my nickname means battleship yamato
Gamera thanx for the update theres one of best walls around!!!

stoutfella Greetings, If I can still get in on this build, put me down for a Tamiya 1/48 A6M2 Zero. Cheers, Stoutfella

Sure! You're more than welcome. That's a great kit, I'm building one but kinda stalled right now due to concentrating on other stuff.

bsyamoto, Beautiful work. The weathering, especially the paint chipping is first rate. And that natural background is fantastic. Once again, bravo! Rick.
Bsyamato: Sir, you are posted! Looking forward to seeing how the Claude comes out.
