Reasoned

 tigerman:

Reasoned, I too opted for the Nichimo Kate, because of the availability and the torpedo. I believe the Hasegawa Zuiho attacker has the torpedo. Just hard to find at a good price. I don't understand why the Hase kits didn't offer both bombs and torpedos.

Exactly, I ended up dismayed when I looked over the Hase kit (detail wise seems superior to the Nich) but it didn't give a torpedo option!  So, I found the Nich on a web site for cheap, bought it and plan on using its topedo on the Hase kit.  I did read where Hase plans on releasing a torpedo version, when... who knows.

The world wonders.........Big Smile

Thanx Tigerman Toast hope to finish soon the little piece

Hmm mmh i see already this Val

I hear Val has a hot sister named Kate. Big Smile

Indeed she does and I picked up both versions (must have been identical twins).  Got the Hase and Nichimo Kate sisters (since the Hase didn't have a torpedo).  How can you have a Kate w/o a torpedo? Huh?

bsyamato, that Zeke looks fantastic!Beer

And two younger and even hotter sisters named Jill and Grace.

And I hear Grace swings both ways- torpedo and dive bomber.....

Bsyamato: Super work- dang you're almost done there.

Trey: Sorry I left you out of my earlier post. Great job as usual - congrads on getting some help there. Wink

Uh yes, Jill. She's a peach. Wink

Lol, you may be right about the Hasegawa yakuza Stick out tongue

I've thought they're something like Academy & Otaki kits- not really as great as Tamiya or Hasegawa but still good detail and fit- and cheaper. I did a Fujumi 1/72 Junkers Ju-87 Stuka 'tank-buster' years ago and thought it was a really nice kit.

Glad to see you got your paint so you can keep moving along.

it's really strange, because in europe actually no normal vendors seems have a good variety of fujimi kits Hmm

Probably hasegawa yakuza don't allow fujimi to work here!

I don't expect perfect kits between the fujimi's i brought but for some subject are the only avaible choice in 1/72.

Shipping from japan should take about 15 days, will try to resist Lightning

PS today arrived finally supplies from italy ,right in time to use new clear coats ,and zero received already the first matt coat and look good Stick out tongue

David: Great job on the cockpit there, you're zipping right along Yes

Bsyamato: Those look like nice kits. I've done a few Fujumi and they went together very well.

Cliff about the subject i'll add, i want to have the kits in my hands to not get surprises .Actually bargaining with the tokyo vendor for shipping costs, heres the kits links

raiden

 Val

 Tenzan (jill)

claude

Judy x2

Lately not so lucky with shipping..... an order of supply from italy lost till two weeks. Really bad thing because i'm almost out of clear coats and some other fundamental color. For the zero i should be covered to finish with actual supplies.

Anyway:

David: You'e more than welcome, what you've posting over on the aircraft forum looks great!

Reasoned: Good to hear your wife is doing better, heres hopes for her swift and complete recovey.

Bsyamato: Congrads! I feel bad being an enabler to you addiction though Surprise

Doogs: Looks good!

Cliff

PS: Somehow the 'R' and 'F' keys on the office laptop ended up broken so I may not be posting as much, or if I do the posts will look slighty funny. I had no idea how many words in English had 'R' and 'F' in them till now...

Looking good, Trey!

Got a brief start on my N1K1-Ja tonight...separated out pieces that need priming for cockpit duty, and had a fun test-fit session.

Overall, the fit is quite good...

But the wingroots have some nasty gappage.

Think I might try putting a spreader inside the fuselage to alleviate the worst of it.

Bsyamato the zekes looking awesome, really liking the finish !

Reasoned glad to hear the Wifes surgery went good, hope she has a speedy and full recovery!

Cliff thanks!

I'm enlisting some help on this build . My son says I need it!

Dry fit looks tight ,Tamiya has done a nice mold on this one. No major gaps at all ,most enjoyable after the Dragon 188 I just finished! There's a hefty weight supplied that goes in the center float, nice touch.

Office has some nice molded detail

BTW, just got back from Mayo in Rochester MN and my wife's surgery went real well, thanks for the kind words of support.  Time to get back to the bench.  Oh! and while there, picked up the A/M P-51A kit from the LHS there, just couldn't pass it up.Embarrassed

Doogs: Well I guess you could do say a dio and have a tarp pulled off the canopy forward to hide the cowling.

Could be interesting to do it as one of the US evaluators...but for now I'll be using it to test chipping techniques.

I was hoping to get a start on the George last night. Alas, work called. Tonight, after I get the flaps and insignia backing done on the Fiat, it'll be prime time for the George and Ventura interior bits.
