At last I managed to finish with a long-overdue entry with the Mighty Eighth group build--which was Airfix's rebox of the old Academy B-17G.

nice job on the B-17! it looks great. and....

[Doing research on the web showed the camouflage scheme all over the place, with almost no two sources agreeing with each other.  So I'm planning to stick with what Xtradecal shows in their instructions.

And here's what I have in mind, from Xtradecal's 2010 Battle of Britain 70th anniversary sheet.

And little progress with Skyhawk. Intakes and cabin.

Bit more warehouse founds. My friend have in his stash stock of kits from former hobby shop from 50-70:s. Frogg, Revell, Airfix, Hawk, Aurora, Heller etc. I bought these from him:

Hurricane, Scammel tank transporter, Me 109, Bren carrier, Bloodhound (almost complete) and 11 Typhoons Embarrassed Instructions of Typhoons are ruined, but I don´t see that as a big loss. 20 euros whole pile.

Could you share with the rest of the class where you got those beasties for 35 euro?  Last time I saw one in here in the States it was 225.00US.  Not my scale but I was sorely tempted when they came out.

I found those from importers warehouse clearace. Mainly they are selling crappy toys for kids, but they have also Airfix in their brands. I thought that I´m gonna find some lovely small 1:72 kits from 1-2 euros, but they had only Mossies and 1:48 Sea Vixens (15 euros). About twenty each. Those were packed to brown boxes and marked only with item code and priceTongue Tied Most people didn´t bother to look in the boxes so I assume that they hardly sold half of those. List price for Mossie in here is 125-145 euros.

Greenshirt

If you want to scratch the details and clean up the exterior, the Airfix is for you. If you want an accurate, easy build with lots of detail oob, the get the Academy kit. It's the standard.

Ditto

plus a special pack with additional (good) decals and eduard set is avaible

good progress on the helldiver RRB

Nice finished Ark TD despite the carpet monster ambush Toast like the fireflyes with folded wings Yes

Great looking Ark Royal, TD.  Excellent results in such a small scale.

How is this kit so far, baron? I've considered adding it to the stash.

Errr… well? Hmmm…

I don't know, it's certainly airfix, gaps galore. It lacks cockpit detail, I scratch built all of mine. I like helldivers, so I think you should get it. For an airfix kit I rate it 3 out of 5 stars.

Ive got some more done on my helldiver, drop tanks, bombs missiles, landing gear.

All that's left is to do the other side of bombs & missiles, the tail wheel and hook. As well as the two 20mm cannons, some other antenneas etc. and it'll be done!

The prop is almost finished just got too touch up the paint in some spots.

Wow - I've missed a bunch! I've been in a pre-Christmas rush at the office trying to get things wrapped up, working on some freelance stuff at home + fighting off a bugger of a cold recently. Sorry I haven't been around & contributing - I'll have to poke my head in here to get caught up.

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister

Thanks, but I just want to get this one done.I've had several irritating problems.I'm hoping it comes out looking half way decent. The Carpet Monster made off with a prop and anchor as well.Marv is supposed to have my back, but was probably stuck in the beer cooler again.
