Recite the litanies, fire up the Gellar field, a poo storm is coming Hmm

1/24 scale Out of my price range and anyway I would have no place to put something that big on display in my little apartment

Some progress on my walrus.

See if you can guess which paint scheme im going for Stick out tongue

These were all taken with my phone, so they're a bit grainy.

Comments so far?

I'm with you on that; weathering and scuffed paint has been secondary for me (which is probably why I don't  I do these so well)--but I do like the color and markings.

Nicely done assembly on the Walrus--but I don't know anything about the Walrus, so I have no idea about the paint scheme.  it will be a fascinating one, no doubt.

Thanks, yup its a meccano spitfire. one of their speciality kits that came out a while ago.

As for the walrus. Im doing it up in the angentinian colours. Since we already have an RAF one on the front page, i thought id do the alternate scheme.

Dont worry SM you'll have room for the others, if you just redesign you house.

Realy what do you need a _________ for anyway?  (insert kitchen, living room whatever suits your fancy)

The corsair is finished! Final pics will be up tomorrow, thanks to Gamera I now have a huge assortmant of US decals. They decals went on fine. But when the time came for the flat coat the decals started to turn white around the middle, i hope you can see, sorry for the grainy pics. Final pics will be much better when i use my real camera.

If you look carefully at the decal ther are light & dark sections the proper colour is supposed to be the dark shade. It sort of looks like a "dusty affect" any help would be greatly appreciated.

The final pictures of the white 23 will be up tomorrow.

Nice at all RRB Yes

The problem seems a not good shake/mix of the clear cote (i had similar problem with old model master matt cote) or a needed thinning of it.. Actually i prefere to thin the clear cote even if in good density.

Or probably the clear cote is old and after you could have some crakin. You see the bad areas only on the decas because but think they are even on the whole corsair.

Try the clear cote on a test painted surface to find the correct thinning percentage.

Also good is to use the colors and the clear cotes  not directly from the jar but put in a container like chocolates trays .

Posted you near the kitchen and keep an eye open when chocolates boxes are in Pirate

Sorry for the late pics, time just, well, got the better of me.
Many thanks to Gamera for the decals, and Fermis for the help with fixing the fogging! (it was not the decals fault it was mine, just another mistake to learn from)
Well here is the finished pics of the White 23!

Scorpiomikey - the Walrus is coming along well. And Argentine markings are planned, that should look sharp!

the real red baron - Love your little corsair, all bombed up & ready to go! I've never seen one with that diamond marking on the wing, I like the different looking stuff! Yes

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister

It is turning out quite fine. Helps almost everyone has at least 1 airfix kit in the stash somewhere.

Looks great eatthis!

Scorpio, I'm gonna do a third model for this GB! Sign me ip for a airfix 1:72 Curtiss SB2C Helldiver.

This will be painted in the same scheme as the colour, only with white instead of the light ghost grey. Does white run through the airbrush very well? I thought I heard somewhere that it didn't go very well. So should I just buy a spray can of white?

Nice Corsair and TSR2!  Sorry been away from here a bit - other commitments (and a Mad Weekend build too!).  No progress on the Widgeon, but, I did find the instructions today (in one of my paint drawers!).
