Check out my blog here.
This Group Build is shaping up nicely.Love the Corsair,Baron.
that a very nice corsair
Front page updated.
Thats a nice addition to our little airfix airforce.
Well done, RRB; very sharp looking Corsair.
Scorpiomikey - the Walrus is coming along well. And Argentine markings are planned, that should look sharp!
the real red baron - Love your little corsair, all bombed up & ready to go! I've never seen one with that diamond marking on the wing, I like the different looking stuff!
On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister
Sorry everyone, my Internet is so slow at the moment I can't upload pics too photobucket. So they will up tomorrow, (I'm going to upload them at school, shhh )
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Decided to put the primer on my TSR2 when I realised that the rattle can was almost empty and double!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got to wait till Monday to get some more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice at all RRB
The problem seems a not good shake/mix of the clear cote (i had similar problem with old model master matt cote) or a needed thinning of it.. Actually i prefere to thin the clear cote even if in good density.
Or probably the clear cote is old and after you could have some crakin. You see the bad areas only on the decas because but think they are even on the whole corsair.
Try the clear cote on a test painted surface to find the correct thinning percentage.
Also good is to use the colors and the clear cotes not directly from the jar but put in a container like chocolates trays .
Posted you near the kitchen and keep an eye open when chocolates boxes are in
The corsair is finished! Final pics will be up tomorrow, thanks to Gamera I now have a huge assortmant of US decals. They decals went on fine. But when the time came for the flat coat the decals started to turn white around the middle, i hope you can see, sorry for the grainy pics. Final pics will be much better when i use my real camera.
If you look carefully at the decal ther are light & dark sections the proper colour is supposed to be the dark shade. It sort of looks like a "dusty affect" any help would be greatly appreciated.
The final pictures of the white 23 will be up tomorrow.
Scorpiomikey Thats everything, theres a 6x8 photo in the middle, but thats the only extra space i could get. Ive still got another 6 or 7 kits in my stash.

Dont worry SM you'll have room for the others, if you just redesign you house.
Realy what do you need a _________ for anyway? (insert kitchen, living room whatever suits your fancy)
Thanks, yup its a meccano spitfire. one of their speciality kits that came out a while ago.
As for the walrus. Im doing it up in the angentinian colours. Since we already have an RAF one on the front page, i thought id do the alternate scheme.
Nice nitro start Mikey
waiting to see the warlus intresting paint scheme
Nice troubled collection! you choice subject from paint scheme, i choice just as i like (and what i can get )
The strange fighter on the right is with mecano metal construction made?
Scorpiomikey Thanks. Ive come to the conclusion that i dont build for the aircraft, i build for the paint scheme

I'm with you on that; weathering and scuffed paint has been secondary for me (which is probably why I don't I do these so well)--but I do like the color and markings.
Nicely done assembly on the Walrus--but I don't know anything about the Walrus, so I have no idea about the paint scheme. it will be a fascinating one, no doubt.
Some progress on my walrus.
See if you can guess which paint scheme im going for
These were all taken with my phone, so they're a bit grainy.
Comments so far?
Nice collection. Very eclectic.

Here is my next Airfix build A mig 15 1/72 scale

As soon as I motivate myself, I will get some photos done of my TSR-2. Just put on a recon pod in bomb bay, cleaning up some filler I used to fix my many errors
