 Alex Shaw:

 the real red baron:

Seams filled and engine/cowling attached.

Speaking of filling, I've finally done with the filling and sanding of my Concorde. Should have it painted by the end of the week.

Gonna post some photos?

Of course! I'll get some up over the weekendSmile

I painted the helldiver, just have some minor touch ups to finish.

The colour in the picture looks nothing like what it does from my perspective. I use my IPod touch's camera too take most of the pictures. Which makes the colour appear lighter or darker. But I use my camera for the finished pics of every plane, which shows the true colour.

Next is the landing gear, bombs, missiles, drop tanks etc.

Enjoy.

I had to remove a coat of humbrol primer that didn't dry before I could shoot on the Humbrol Sky.

1/72 Airfix Huricane

This is one strange colour I must say! Almost looks like IJN Grey.

The wheelwells were (very untidly) blocked off, but that's OK enough for me, this is by no means a very pretty model anyway.

Sorry I haven't been able to get photo's up, camera's out of batteries and i'm still waiting on my paint to be delivered. I have however just started an Airfix 1/72 Willys Jeep over the weekend, so if you could sign me up for that aswell Scorpio it would be great. Will also get some photo's up over the coming week.

Finished up the howitzer, but still working on the quad.

Had to create windows for it since it never came with any, and Krystal Klear was being a pain for holding the windows in place.

I'm over that hurdle, just needs some touchup paint, add the tires and then I can start some weathering.

I think it must be the old Huricane kit just in a new box. It still has the raised lines, hence the need to sand and re-scribe them. There were also a couple of fit issues on the wing to fuse joint.

This Huricane is becoming a real pain to do now! I had to (for the second time) strip off the paint as the HU 29 dark brown dried with a speccled texture, might have been old paint.

Well, some sanding and re-scribing will be needed to get it sorted and hopefully the third time will be a charm.

Right-o, and here are some Concorde pictures. It's hard to find a place big enough to photograph it, so I just shot it on the floor. Also included the jeep in the photo, to get a sense of the size. (Both are in the same scale, 1/72)

Oh you bet, the fit is appalling! Practically every join needed to be filled and sanded. I have to say this is the worst fitting kit I've ever built, it does however look very nice once corrected.

yeh the kit is pretty crap for fitting im making it into a bombcorde mainly because there was nothing to make windows with lol

My Huricane will be spending some time in it's box in the drawr as I finally lost interest in it.

The re-scribing (3 rd time) is not working out, so I will "let it go" till I have a better plan later.

The BF 110 1/72 new tool is still in the running though ,as soon as I complete a few projects.

Please remove my entry regarding the Hurri.

What you use for rescribe panels? I just use a large "normal" steel cutter and after clean and redraw the lines with my x-acto back blade. I use mainly with my gundams that don't have panel lines, but even for planes work good.

Thanks, but I just want to get this one done.I've had several irritating problems.I'm hoping it comes out looking half way decent. The Carpet Monster made off with a prop and anchor as well.Marv is supposed to have my back, but was probably stuck in the beer cooler again.

Wow - I've missed a bunch! I've been in a pre-Christmas rush at the office trying to get things wrapped up, working on some freelance stuff at home + fighting off a bugger of a cold recently. Sorry I haven't been around & contributing - I'll have to poke my head in here to get caught up.

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister
