Nice spitfire & hurricane Noah, I hope my hurricane turns out as good as yours!

Well being sick with the flu is not fun, so I'm limited to what I can do modeling wise.

I scratch built wheel wells, and masked a few things ready for airbrushing, im going to be drilling out spots for guns will a very small drill bit, and I marked this out in the pic, hopefully clear enough.

Good Deal; cause my LHS is having a swap meet later this month an I 'll be able to pick up an old kit or two----  Surprise  you didnt think I'd go through the stash did you???? HA!

Of course not!  I just look forward to seeing what you pick-up.  Something Esci, Matchbox, or Frog maybe?  Or even, all 3!  A 1/72 Matchbox Flower-class Corvette?

As there is some interest in clearing out old Esci, Matchbox, Frog (and others) kits, when would be a better start date for the GB?  1st Jan?

Not that I'm trying to clear them out, but after the Holidays works for me.

Sounds good!  OK, 1st Jan it is!

The old Airfix Spitfires and Hurricanes still build up really nice, don't they?  Great job on the assembly and the painting.  They look excellent.

Yeah no biggie. On pg 20 I started the Hs 129 and mentioned that I had the Mk1 Spit going on prob just too far along for the rules. Thought I'd post pics anyway.

BTW on the Henshel i'm waiting to go to Bobe's to plunder the decal boxes and then it will get paint.

Did some more work on the Widgeon.  Here's the aircraft as it was before I began work, and as you can see, the squared off section which filters the wing to the body is both a different size and offset, from the body!  I sanded it down, which means I lost a little squared off bit, bit it's smoothly faired in now

I used some spare acrylic I wanted to finish off to prime the aircraft.  It went on a bit thick, but it did it's job, and I can see that both the ends of the wing where it joins the body had a bad step despite the filler - so more work!  Also, the starboard engine needs a tad more work, and the wing tips need some filling too.

Back to work!  Since the picture was taken, more filling and sanding, and the tailplanes have been added in.  They needed a lot of work, as the prongs that go into the tail are deformed.  Still, once cleaned up, they were OK.  They do seem rather far forward though.

Darn that "work getting in the way" - if only I could find some other way of buying kits and supplies. Oh, and food & lodgings. Clothing too... Big Smile

Clothing?  For a modeler?  I wonder how many modelers have modeled in the, oh wait, is that too far O/T?  Actually, I've been in the same way, no time for modeling at the minute.  That little thing called work, or, looking for work :(

No fake tan for me...

No interest in my GB either...  Oh well, can but try!  I would love to see though a rapid build GB sometime, maybe a week, or even a weekend.  Be a great challenge!

That is one of those "off the beaten path" themes, you either catch a bunch of people thinking the same way or it fizzles quick, I suppose. I know I have an ESCI kit in the stash I could have thrown in with, but I've got a full plate right now.

You could call it the OOP Group Build!

Well, I was thinking of a British Classic GB, but, Esci produced great stuff too
