HA both. I forgot to cut the hole for the antenna behind the cockpit. And im waiting till last possible second to attach the pitot as i always always always break it with in 5 minutes of installing it.

Once ive got my bench a little more clear im going to make a case for it.

On 14th december this year it will be presented to an ex diesel mechanic who was based at Bougainville with the RNZAF for his 90th Birthday.

Wow Mikey, you did a great job on it man!  I guess we better get a badge put together pretty quick.

Wow Mikey, that looks awesome!  Great job man!  Yes  Yes

Okay, if I had to guess on what is missing, I would say either the antenna or the pitot.

Hi, Dom,

Turns out the link I found is only the tip of the iceberg - there are actually 6 pages that cover all of the Air Force squadrons. The home page for this enterprize is:

http://ljmilitaria.com/mainusafsquadrons/default.htm

Personally, I would be interested in the 6 Bombardment Squadron (Heavy) (Clinton-Sherman AFB - I've never seen a patch for them - I do have a patch for the 70th Bomb Wing, however), 41st or 42nd Tactical Electronic Warefare Squadron (not sure which one I was assigned to at Takhli RTAFB, Thailand), 91st Tactical Recon Squadron (Bergstrom AFB, TX), 90th Special Operations Squadron (I was assigned to a special outfit called 1st Flight Detatchment that wasn't part of the 90th, but we supported their airplanes at Nha Trang, Vietnam), and 429th Tactical Fighter Squadron (Nellis AFB, Nevada). I have patches for the 91st and the 429th if I can ever find them again.

Okay Ken here's the RCM vac VooDoo....must be half my age:

It provides three recon variants:

some of the vac is very thin, and was crushed a wee bit decade or so ago, but not catastrophic.

Ken, have a look at the styrene, the paired the nose options back-to-back.

You got me interested in the Cotton Pickers so I did some searching on the internet. Here is a link I found with some more images of the Cotton Pickers patches. It's near the bottom of the page and the page is really big so do a search for "Cotton Pickers."

Hi folks.  Just a couple more shots of the Tigershark.  First coat of primer is on and drying.

http://i1161.photobucket.com/albums/q515/sparrowlord01/F20WIP9.jpg

Yeh I know.  it's got some non covered areas, but the second coat will get those.

http://i1161.photobucket.com/albums/q515/sparrowlord01/F20WIP10.jpg

Masking took a while. lol

Rich:

Looking good so far, ahem,,,,so far,,,,,lol....

Hoping the paint will stick Rich, you need some luck here for sure...

And Rich, not trying to be too critical here, that was a heavy coat, and not sure what the follow up finish will be.

When it drys, and if those little ripples on the back fuselage are still obvious, maybe hit them slightly with a 1000+ grit just so the finish doesn't do the Klingon fore-head/eyebrow thing......lol...

That is a very cool jet,

Ken;

Sorry for the small pics, WYSIWYG, it's all there. Mind you, I was told you would need to get some accurate shots for the real scribing marks.

Also, some of the vac is so thin in corners it would melt if glue were put on it. The canopies are its weakest feature, but do-able, probably a Future finish would help.

Given you penchant for accuracy and patience, you probably could handle it okay, and make it look real nice.

There are some neat techniques for dealing with cutting and trimming the parts.

 Son Of Medicine Man:

So it does look like it has the bulkheads drawn out to scale, correct?

Yeah Ken.And if you notice, some stock styrene. They are just vac-stock cut-offs, it is thick enough, but your bulk-heads will need a couple of pieces or you'll need Evergreen.

Have you ever done vac? I've cut chunks of it for mods, but never the whole kit.

Nope, never have done vac.  But I have done U-Control balsa planes (when I was a kid), so if the bulkheads are drawn out to scale, then that would be doable.  I may have to buy that 1/32 vac kit.  So does it come with enough parts to do every version or just one?

Ah yes, the T-33.  If I were to win the lottery, I would buy one of those (one that would actually fly) learn how to fly it, and spend a lot of time in the clouds!
