Such as BIG SAAB GROUPIE ?
I'd love to see this as a GB badge though I expect everyone will want something more Saab related though.

Poster Image would look even better with a Cats Head on the sail and a Swedish Chef at the bow...........
Argh! The office webfilter is cutting out whatever image you posted there. Describe it to me. With a Swedish Chef accent please.
how are Swedish Chef accent ??
bsyamato how are Swedish Chef accent ??
No "Muppet Show" en Italia?!?!

Vance: SG posted what I'm assuming is a travel poster. It's painted to look like a woodcut from the Middle Ages of a Viking longboat with a great red dragon head on the prow sweeping toward the viewer on the crest of a swelling wave.
And would look better with a Cat's Head logo on the sail..............

I won't argue with that!
And Dolph Lungren at the helm...

LOL i'm not so good ewith memory it's from about 20 years that muppet show are not on air here
This might motivate some of you fence-sitters:
And
I may be a BIG SAAB GROUPIE
Awesome photos! Just what is that bizarre beast in the first one...?
I might have to add a tunnan to my list. Oddly attractive aircraft.

That's a Saab J21 (J21-A??) with a Daimler-Benz engine. They later developed that airframe into the J21R with a jet engine:
fine pictures there!!
Must read another time the saab history in one of my aircraft books!!
The Navigator This might motivate some of you fence-sitters:
Always thought it was a really cool looking aircraft. I don't think anyone makes a kit in 1/48th scale though that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Haven't gone looking for one in 1/48, not sure if there is anything there to be honest. I've got the Heller 1/72 kit. I think Special Hobby also has one at that scale.

and a 1/72 scale kit of that aircraft is made by Special Hobby:

Yeah I figured there would be a 1/72nd kit, I'm just more of a 1/48th guy though. I would look good sitting next to my Curtiss Ascender and Shinden (assuming I get either built that is).
Special hobby costs too much here!! lots of intresting subjects
I was thinking teh same thing about the side-by-side opportunity with the Shinden - after seeing some previews of theZoukei-Mura offering
(That may now be on my "find-it list"...)

From what I've seen this looks like an awesome kit but I'm cheap enough I'm going to stick to the Haswgawa 1/48th kit for the time being

I hear you - to be honest, I'm probably on more of a Hasegawa budget anyway. I see they have a 1/72 option as well - engraved panels on that one I wonder??
Still deciding on a kit here. Since I'm looking at 1:72 scale I may end up doing 2.
With the "any markings" rule, is that emphasizing historical or would something original for a 2nd kit be acceptable? Just checking in case something "completely different" comes to mind.
Also looking forward to seeing the badge that's decided on. Personally, I'm rooting for the Swedish Chef idea, but I know not everyone is as eccentric as I am.
Well a trip to the LHS solved the "what to build" dilema for me. Apparently 1/72 Sweedish craft have been out of prouction for a few years (news to me!) But they managed to find me a Revell 1/72 Draken online. It's even done in a bright and colorful paint scheme, like I want to do (couldn't tell if it was Swiss or Austrian, but one of the two.)
Thanks
Count me in Vance. I'm not sure what yet as I'll have to buy something.
I'm assuming the kit will come with an allan key to aid assembly....
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
