Hobby Boss has a BV-141 in 1/48 scale they are coming out with soon that I've been eyeing. I've got the Hi Performance Model version of that kit but it looks scary to attempt and there's not many of em out there either if I goof up.

Thanks, Mustang! It looks like it should be a sweet build and I'm hoping to lay down pre-painting over the weekend. More PE harness is on its way, so if it goes together as well as it looks like it should, I foresee reasonably swift progress.

Good news, my LHS has the Eduard etched harness in stock and it'll be in the mail next week. Okay, here's what came in the mail today:

I've checked it over and it looks pretty good -- the engine is seen through the gear bays, so that's a leg up on most, especially in this scale. Mouldings look crisp to the max, I see no flash. The flaps are detailed inside but it might take a little adjustment to pose them open. The canopy slides, and the kit features a ground attack load.

I've already ordered some more harness etch, and hope to bring this one together asap, I may even use the harness I got for the Ta-152 and use the second set for that one, as LuckyModel have only just shipped the Quickboost exhausts for it and I'll be waiting a short while for them to make their way down from Hong Kong...

Here is the kit I was speaking of and contents inside.  Looks Pretty good with quite a few parts.

Thanks for all the responses guys!  I may try to stretch some sprues.  I have done it before and made spark plug wires for my auto builds.  However I have never stretched it that thin, so it may be a big challenge.  I believe I have some black or gray sprues.  I tend to keep all my left over parts.  I would have never though of that, so thanks for the suggestions!  If I cant stretch it, I will definitely invest in some EZ wire.  Thanks!

I confess, I use EZ line and the sagging horizontals kinds just get ignored so far...

HobbySpace (China) just delivered, I have the HobbyBoss Fw 190 D-9 in hand and it looks very good indeed!

Cody, I use EZ Line too, just chiming in. I saw some sagging vertical lines and thought it was supposed to be like that with 190's. D'oh. Coulda swore the box art on my previous 190 showed it that way, but maybe not.

I only thought of it because it has bugged me ever since, I know, I'm sad. So I think as a general rule, EZ line for single wires, something else when there are two wires as on the 190.

The one problem I found with EZ line when fitting a vertical wire is that if you try and stretch it, it pulls the horizontal wire down. How do you guys get around that. I think on my 190 I didn't stretch the vertical piece.

In regards to the antenna wire there is a third option and that's very fine fishing line. I find 1Ib line works in 72nd, I am sort of torn between that and EZ line.

Heya Cody! Got you down in the intro post for that 1/72nd 190 of yours. Looking forward to  lots of pics with your build along the way and we'll help you out any way we can here. Ol Joe Rix and Bish are the 72nd scale kings around here with a wealth of knowledge in that scale and there's lots of tricks of the trade(as far as aircraft building goes)  in general to be shared by lots of folks in here.

Hey Cody! First off , I'll gladly jot you down in the intro for the 72nd scale 190. I'll get on that promptly here. Secondly for an antenna you have two choices. You can use stretched sprue which takes a little practice to get thin enough for smaller scales or you can use EZ line which is readily available through places like Bobe's Hobby House in Pensacola, Florida. This stuff..................is da bomb! They make it in two thicknesses for larger and smaller scale stuff.

Thank you my friend!  I picked up a 1/72 FW190.  I will be using it in the "1944" GB.  Now if my understanding is correct (Since both this and the 1944 GB accept cross-overs) I can post this in both GB's.  If so, please sign me up for a 1/72 Revell Germany FW190 A8 R11.  Thank you!

Question for all the builders here-  I see many many of the finished 190's have the aerial antenna from the canopy to the tail and connected in the middle.  So my question is what do you guys use for that small of gauge?  Wire? String?  I'd like to add the antenna too because it does set it off with a more realistic look but I'm not sure I have anything thin enough.  Thanks in advance!
