That's an outstanding plane, Theuns.  Nice work on the color and panel lines.

I got as far as painting the X-29 and might be starting the decals tonight.

I also started and academy and a Revell A-10.  Both are molded in somewhat soft plastic but the Revell kit has a lit of flash.  So far I like the Academy kit better.

I plan on one in the Euro I scheme and one in gray but don't know which yet.

It was a good weekend or at least part of one.

I was also able to close up the He111 fuselage and attach the wings.

Got to love those multi coloured Matchbox kits. What's the plan for that one now you have the Italeri kit on the way.

Same plan as before.  I have a friend that plays around with resin and is going to make a few copies of the bomb/torpedo racks for me.

Hi. I'm a longtime 72nd guy, but new to this community.

I'd like to enter this GB with Special Armour's Vidalwagen "Road V-2 Transporter".

johnsan, the host hasn't been around for a couple of months. Your build fits within the GB, so I would go ahead and do it.

I am looking forward to seeing this one. many years ago I started a dio for a V-2 with all the ground vehicles, well that was the plan. I got a resin halftrack launch vehicle and built most of the V-2, but it never went any further. With SH's new release's I have been thinking about giving it another go. Are you planning on adding the V-2 to the transporter,

It wasn't that bad.  The blue and two white stripes are connected by clear film.  So the hard thing was making them straight and lining them up.  Where the stripes meet at the leading edge of the wings is a little screw.  I used Micro-Sol and the decals laid down nicely.

Thanks for the advise, Bish.

Actually, I've just finished Special Armour's V2 Prototype kit and need something on which to display it.

I've started the transporter.  It seems a nice, but somewhat flimsy kit.

I'm replacing much of the plastic with brass rod.

I was looking over the available V-2 stuff over the weekend. How was the V-2 to build, your looks really nice. I think I originally had the Condor kit, but was thinking of going for the SA one this time, the camo option.

Do you think the plastic is to flimsy to support the rocket. that's a big job you have taken on.

SA's V2 kit is pretty nice. The fit is pretty decent and the instructions spell out changes needed for the prototype rockets. I never got the Condor kit, so I won't offer any comparisons.

I think the plastic parts for the transporter will be too flimsy. I'm in process of replacing with soldered brass parts. The plastic cradle parts don't fit the rocket well and are incorrectly shaped as well. These will be modified.
