John: I"m sorry to hear about your mom, I think you'd said before her heath was getting worse.
Bruce: Nice to see a real 'tank' here!

Also, do the guys have a couple builds, I would like to add a piece of armor from both sides, such as a
Tiger and a Sherman?
Normandy saw most Sherman variants used- M4, M4A1, M4A1 76mm, M4A2, M4A4, and M4A4 Firefly. At least within the time constraints of this GB. In 1/35 Dragon, Italeri, Tamiya, and Tasca have all of those variants covered. You could also getfancy and do a conversion such as the Sherman dozer tank, DD tank, Crab flail tank, etc. And the Sherman derivatives- M10/Achilles GMC, M7 Priest HMC, M32 ARVs, M12 GMC.
SP pretty much covered this but if I may add a little:There were five major versions of the Sherman:
M4: older model but some were used in the invasion
M4A1: Second most common US model
M4A2: Mostly sent to the Pacific with the US Marine Corps, I've seen photos of many used by the Free French though during D-Day.
M4A3: Started service post-invasion (edited on Stikpusher's correction)
M4A4: Mostly used by Britain, Canada, and the rest of the Commonwealth troops, none used as far as I know by the US though except for training stateside.
There were three major gun types, the 75mm with the earlier turret being most common, the 105mm and 76mm with the newer turret entering service post-invasion. (again edited to correct)
As SP said there were a bunch of different conversions too. One thing you see on a lot of immediate post invasion Shermans were the Cullon Hedgerow Device- a sorta plow/dozer blade for cutting though the hedgerow thickets.
As for kits the Tasca ones are the best but quite pricey. Dragon is almost as good and cheaper. Academy, Tamiya, and Italeri/Testor's makes good kits though not as nice as the others.
