Hey guys. Nice work so far. Everything's looking really nice... and very small... Haha... Unfortunately I won't be able to do many updates so far because I have a Jeep to work on, school work, and various assorted events that are taking place around now. And an upcoming GB (for any of you who also like working small... A light tanks build).

Wing Nut: I guess that a challenge that we have to overcome in this GB- the minuteness of the kits.

A tiny bit of paint under the engine. It really is such a waste... the amount you need to mix to be able to "work" with it compared to now much actually gets sprayed.

If you had told me the one of the hardest parts of this was going to be masking for the paint I would've said you're nuts. I never knew tape could be cut in strips that thin.  ;)

I can't figure out what's wrong with my camera... refuses to focus properly.

Looking good Wing_Nut! I know what you mean about paint waste.I prime my kits with Testors Grey Primer in a rattle can.The amount of paint wasted is a shame.I don't own an airbrush so until then I have to deal with the paint loss.

Some progress with Heinkel.

Dorsal gun position opening was "D" shaped however it should be round. Also I added MG mounting.

Engine air intakes fixed.

And I wasn´t satisfied with co-pilots back rest.

Landing gears.

Next thing is painting. I get my compressor from repair tomorrow so hopefully soon...

Ditto on the awesome job. If I hadn't seen it from start to finish, I'd say you were lying and that it couldn't be any smaller than 1/48th.

Plus, sweet idea on the base. Both gives it an environment, and a sense of scale with a readily identifiable everyday bottle cap. Clever.

Bottle cap my azz! Thats a kiddie pool he bought at Target. He also owns a 12" diameter penny.

Seriously nice builds all. I am cleaning out the GB's I am close to finishing, and got to work on the Clippers base. Looking for a Pan Am route map.

Well I got my compressor from repair for a while a go. Then I couldn´d find my old paint booth (read: card board box with filterStick out tongue ). So I decided to make new better one from some plastic board. Tested and works! Result: primed Heinkel and Hurricane.

Looking good on those Trabi.I recently obtained that same He 111 kit from a seller on eBay.It was bagged with no instructions or decals,so I managed to get it very cheaply.

I have been watching the impressive work on the GB and finally finished my Gooney Bird. Although I had initially planned to complete her as a C-47 of the Texas Air National Guard, the poor fit especially on the underside caused concern that an NMF would render it unpresentable. Instead I opted to finish her as an R4D-1 circa 1942 with striped feathers and red dotted stars for some color on an otherwise uninspiring scheme. Being a glutton for punishment I am also working on a 1/144 C-117D by the same company and sharing many of the same challenges. I have removed the tail as it is woefully undersized, I have it propped against the R4D-1’s tail to illustrate how far off the mark it is; I will be fabricating a new tail somewhere along the way of this build.
