Thanks Wing_Nut! Wishing you better health soon my friend.
"Build what YOU want, the way YOU want, and above all have fun!" - RIP Modeler Al.
Hey guys. Nice work so far. Everything's looking really nice... and very small... Haha... Unfortunately I won't be able to do many updates so far because I have a Jeep to work on, school work, and various assorted events that are taking place around now. And an upcoming GB (for any of you who also like working small... A light tanks build).
Wing Nut: I guess that a challenge that we have to overcome in this GB- the minuteness of the kits.
In progress:
CAD:
1/35 SINCGARS ICOM/ASIP; 1/35 Flat screen TVs; 1/35 tactical light that I shall reveal later
Models:
1/35 DML M4A1 DV; AFV Club M18 Hellcat; DML StuG IV; DML Armored Jeep w/ .50 cal; Panda Cougar 4x4 MRAP; Academy M3A1 Stuart; 1/700 Midship Models USS Miami; 1/700 Skywave Rudderow Destroyer Escort
Mikey,
If I could I'd like to join up. Dragon KA-6D. Don't know if it will be inflight or not.
Buddy- Those who say there are no stupid questions have never worked in customer service.
Alright. I'm adding you right now.
A tiny bit of paint under the engine. It really is such a waste... the amount you need to mix to be able to "work" with it compared to now much actually gets sprayed. Some wee little wheel chocks
Marc
Don't sneeze or you'll never find those chocks again!

That must be why there are 10 in the set

If you had told me the one of the hardest parts of this was going to be masking for the paint I would've said you're nuts. I never knew tape could be cut in strips that thin. ;)
I can't figure out what's wrong with my camera... refuses to focus properly.
Looking good Wing_Nut! I know what you mean about paint waste.I prime my kits with Testors Grey Primer in a rattle can.The amount of paint wasted is a shame.I don't own an airbrush so until then I have to deal with the paint loss.
Thanks RW. This scheme is perfect for the brush painter... No mottling
Some progress with Heinkel.
Dorsal gun position opening was "D" shaped however it should be round. Also I added MG mounting.
Engine air intakes fixed.
And I wasn´t satisfied with co-pilots back rest.
Landing gears.
Next thing is painting. I get my compressor from repair tomorrow so hopefully soon...

She's coming along nicely Trabi.Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Trabi the 11 is coming along nicely
Time to stick a tiny little fork in this one cuz it's done
Nice LITTLE 109 Marc. It looks pretty good.
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
Very, very nice Marc! Hard to believe that's 1/144 scale. You did a fantastic job!
Ditto on the awesome job. If I hadn't seen it from start to finish, I'd say you were lying and that it couldn't be any smaller than 1/48th.
Plus, sweet idea on the base. Both gives it an environment, and a sense of scale with a readily identifiable everyday bottle cap. Clever.

Seriously nice builds all. I am cleaning out the GB's I am close to finishing, and got to work on the Clippers base. Looking for a Pan Am route map.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
Nice job Wing_Nut. And that give's me an idea for a base for the AAVP-7 I have... I also added a picture to the list.
Thanks a lot guys. Slow start for this GB but glad I did. I don't like to sign up and not follow through. best gets started on the Villains GB.
Fantastic job Marc!
Thanks FnH
Started getting the parts off the sprue for my little Tornado. At least it's a start. Photos to follow.
Great work Trabi and Wing_Nut! Just awesome!

Well I got my compressor from repair for a while a go. Then I couldn´d find my old paint booth (read: card board box with filter ). So I decided to make new better one from some plastic board. Tested and works! Result: primed Heinkel and Hurricane.
Nice work so far Trabi. Nice job balancing projects too.
Looking good on those Trabi.I recently obtained that same He 111 kit from a seller on eBay.It was bagged with no instructions or decals,so I managed to get it very cheaply.
Nice work Trabi!
Well, here's my latest update on the C-17. I've attached the wings, eliminated the gaps where they joined to the fuselage and primed/filled/re-primed with Mr Base White. I actually did most of this a few weeks ago and never got around to posting the picks. Sorry.
I rescribed the panel lines and access panels after sanding out the seams. I ended up painting over the windscreen. I was never going to be happy with the paint that bled under the clear part, and since I have windscreen decals I just decided it was best to paint over it. I had a bit of a scare the other day. I wanted to see how she looked sitting on her wheels and she sat up in a nose high attitude. She wasn't a tail sitter but the center of gravity was far enough back that she rested on the rear trucks of the main landing gear and the nose wheel was about 1/4 inch off the ground! The problem was that I had already assembled and sealed up the openings. But there was a small opening in front of the nose landing gear that lead to a large "cavern" in the radome. So I mixed up some steel birdshot with Elmer's white glue and dropped in the pellets one at a time until there was no more room. Now she sits true on her wheels. Whew!
