Thank you sir!  I took liberty on the scheme from a couple of resources.  German, modern, I just had fun with it!  Let's call it "German Low-Vis Splinter!"  Stick out tongue

Eagle90

Wasn't that 74/75/76 with white outline only markings? Whistling

Lew that sounds like an excellent choice. A true classic kit.

Bish, thank you for the compliments. I actually used a pre made wash on my Hurricane, if you look in the panel lines it's there. Black sure requires a different approach on weathering.

I know what you mean, I haven't done a black scheme since I started proper weathering and I have a few kits that need it, so its something I need to look into.

WOW, some amazing work there is such a short time.

wolf, now that's impressive, a 1/35th armour kit in such a short time, and it looks amazing.

Stik, love the hurricane

Eagle, now I like that scheme. Its different but it still has the feel of a German aircraft. Nice.

Tony, your a brave man trying washes as well. That's looking good.

chris, nice work on the 88.

Greg, sorry to hear about the nose dive, not what you like to see.

stik, chris and Eagle 90: Big Joe here. Lil Joe's in bed. I dunno how you guys do it with putting together all these quality builds in a short amount of time. Good job to all of you. I'm trying to set a start date for that V-19 for the weekend after this next. He's got a science project that's due by 5 Dec. We'll get started on it the weekend after that. Thanks for taking him in fellas!

Hey mustang,

Thank you!  I think that is the first time one of my builds and the word quality were used in the same sentence!  Embarrassed  It was a blast doing!  And I must add it is great to see Master Joe getting into the hobby.  We shall see if my 2.5 year old gets the bug someday.

Hope you like it.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Decided on my build.  Lots of grey and green here so I thought I'd add some color.  Monogram's venrable 1/72 F7F as a firebomber circa 1963.  Yellow fuselage and wings.  White vertical tail, black engine nacelles.  Red lettering and numbers.  White and silver 1000 gal. slurry tank.  Decals by Red Gecko Productions, tank by Lone Star Models.

Great work Stik, Chris and Eagle. I'll comment more after my deadline passes Smile

I have 4 hours 20 minutes to go. This is it half way through the panel line wash. I've gotta get this dry, do a couple  of little things, attach the wheels and do a flat coat.

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Pyr,

I understand.  Hopefully you'll jump back in.  Just cleaned off the workbench, I now have a clean 4ft x 4ft workspace again.  Don't know what I'll do with all the space.  The bigger question is where do I put all the unfinished projects that lived there for the last couple of years.

You and me both... Perhaps that's why I do so many that allow crossovers. It's not about collecting badges to me, but participating in more and sharing in the fun.

Thanks Stik,  I tend to overreach on this GB, so my goal will be to keep it simple.  Congratulations to all who have finished.  Pyr, what happened to the pics of your build?  It sucks what happened, but it would be cool to see how far you got (at least for this latecomer).

Mine for the purposes of this build is done.

I need a better picture, and do some weathering but here's a crappy iPhone photo after the white wash.  I added a dull coat and left for night shift.

WOW!!  You guys are just zooming along!!  Today's my only day off after working 6, 12 hr days so I'm sorry that I did't' get a chance to follow along until now.

Konig - Sweet looking T-80!  I can't believe you got that done in less than 48 hrs!  GREAT JOB!

stik - beautiful Hurricane sir, with a unique (to me) paint job!!  Congrats for such a great job in 48!

Chris - the 88 is looking good!  Definitely NOT greasy satellites in space!!Stick out tongue

Tony - your FW-190 is coming along great!  I like the preshading that you did!  Can't wait to see it done!

Greg - shoot, sorry to hear about the 223. Sad  There's still time in the GB....maybe you can do another kit?

Eagle90 - ME-P1111??  Never even heard of that before!!  Eagerly awaiting the finished product!

Mustang - Can't wait to see your completed Starfighter!

My build won't start until after T-Day.   Too many things to do today and back to work tomorrow...Dead

Well I do see greasy auto parts as well...Hmm

But seriously Chris those are looking good.  (and far more recognizable in Panzer Gray). I am sure you are well beyond that point now.

Pyr, thats a tough break there. Is the car damaged beyond repair, or still salvagable but beyond a 48 hour time span?

Tony, thank you. That Hurricane is growing on me, and I am seriously thinking about tackling the IID in my stash, but doing it up better, next year. Your 190 is progressing very nicely now.

Well, at 11;55 AM local time, I am calling this one done for the purposes of this GB. Yes it still needs a bit more weathering and an antenna wire, but it is essentially done. All the side tracks yesterday- putting up Christmas lights, out to dinner with my family... even a shower! and then my bike ride this morning took away several hours that could have been best used here but hey, it''s in under the wire...Whistling I do reserve the right for some minor touch up work before it goes to IPMS...

here with my Ipod for official time stamp.

and a few more shots...

Let's do this again next yearWink
