I don't think this one has been used yet.  Maybe the pic can be cropped and spiffed up?  I can give it a try, but I'm no wiz at this kind of stuff!

I did a quick search and found a few images. I am not sure what others have been used in previous GB's, apart from the one with the bomb. But I thought this was rather fitting, it seems to reflect the madness.

Bish

Stik, I will see what I can do for a badge at the weekend if no one else can come up with anything. I am not to familiar with calvin, I take it that's the boy in the other badge. Do you have any images that you think would be fitting.

Bish, that would be very much appreciated. Yes, he is the boy in all the other badges for the previous years. He comes from a comic strip called "Calvin and Hobbes" that ran for many years. At this point I do not have a specific image in  mind, but I will look for one to PM to you.

Stik, I decided my entry will be Dragon's 1/35 Soviet BMP-1.  Looks to be a simple kit with fewer than average parts count!  The indy links worry me though....lots of pin marks to clean up!  Anyone know if there are better AM tracks available?  By better I mean quicker to assemble!

Count me in. Put me down for the AMT Droid Fighters, 1/48th scale I think. I got it for free when I bought another Star Wars kit off e-bay and the guy put the fighters in as well by accident. When I told him he said to keep it.

So if I mess it up, its no biggy.

This GB is one of my faves, it's great fun. I'm in with a 1/72 Hasegawa 190A-5, which is also a crossover to the 190 GB.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Stik, I joined the last two years, but can't do this coming weekend as I'm working 6 days for the rest of the year (except holidays).  The only two days off in a row that I have are between 11/28- 11/30.  Will that work?

Count me in with a 1/48 Hobbycraft I-16 Type 17. Completely OOB... This actually works fine with me, as I don't really do much of the super detailing that goes on here.

Weekend Madness 2013- Completed!!!
Posted by stikpusher on Sunday, November 17, 2013 1:49 PM

Ok folks here it is... the one we look forward to every year- 48 hours of model building insanity- the Iron Man triathalon of the FSM forms- Weekend Madness,  2013 edition.

That's right any kit, and subject, and scale, any genre- built and painted completely, within a 48 hour time span. Harkening back to days of youth when you tore the wrapper off your new kit and got it done fast!

Kickoff will begin at 1 minute after midnite on November 22, 2013. so those folks living immediately west of the International Date Line get the jump on the rest of us. Your actual time does not commence until your build starts. Once started you have 48 hours. Go big or go small, it's up to how challenging you feel. No prior work except for planning and gathering all needed supplies can be done before your kickoff. No previously begun work allowed (major cheating there).

Who's with me?
