Good save on the Hun! I absolutely hate it when a kit gets the better of my by missing parts!

The canopy arrived today. There are 2 that come in the package, both are one solid piece, so I guess I have to cut it to show it open. You probably get 2 in case you  mess one up.

It's better than tossing the kit.

Now I'll be building both the F100D and F104C.

Hey ModelCrazy!  Glad to hear that you located a replacement canopy!  Good luck with the build!  That F-100 is a great kit; you'll have a good time with it!

I started on the F100 tonight. I am expecting the replacement canopy for the F100 from squadron tomorrow.

I think it was a "resealed" kit.

I filled out the order form on the Monogram/Revell site. I'm also going to check Squadron. In the mean time, I'd like to switch to the F104 if that's OK.

No man! :-(

How did that happen, was it a new sealed kit? If so can you not get another from the makers, even if you need to buy one , will it not be cheaper than a whole new kit just for the canopy?

Dang , I am sorry to hear about your setback mate but I am sure you will get sorted.

Thenus,

I've run into problems with my F100 Hun. I seem to be missing the clear plastic tree, so I need to find another kit.

Plasticj....can't say enough about your big finish!! That Alcad effort is absolutely epic...Contragrats for that. Just need to know which pic you'd like on the WofF?

Alan...watch out..PJ has set the 101 bar pretty high, eh?? LOL...Looking forward to another bout of Voodoo goodness! Can't get enough of this awesome airframe.

modlecrazy..ok, checked out the Hind..looking excellent. I wish I'd noticed that GB earlier as I would have joined it with my Helix, but, I don't know how much 'slightly' built is..will look into that after my current build gets done (Roland in the WW1 GB).

Yes I do. You can find the Hind WIP pics in the Ground Attack GB and Monogram GB. I would have finished it this weekend, but the wife and I are spending a few days on the coast. I don't think she would appreciate me bringing it with us.

Kitty Hawk 1:48 F-101 Voodoo

LewBud & Mach71 - Nice progress so far.

B-one Fixer - That’s a nice F-106. I always loved the lines on this plane. I think it was one of the first models I ever built, long, long ago. As a kid, that was the look of a jet!

Rob - Love the paint job and weathering on the F-102.

Plasticjunkie - Great job on the Voodoo. I hope mine comes out as well.

I haven’t made much progress but I managed to get her together and filled. The fit has been either excellent or horrible with much more ill fitting parts. I feel like I’m building a limited-run kit.

Once the primer went down, it’s starting to look half decent!

Mailwalker...looks like a great kit. Not much of a Monogram fan, but, that one looks good. Just a suggestionJ: you could "Use rich formatting" to add your pics directly to your post..just gets your pics looked at instantly and it's easier for us to follow your progress..like I said, optional, but tis the norm.

Modelcrazy..got any WIP of that Hind posted anywhere else, would love to see it Cool

Mailwalker,

That kit looks like fun. I have a much older Monogram kit I'm going to tackle. The Hun is my favorite early jet.

PJ

I have several shades of Alclad on order and should be here by the time I need them for the Hun. I may need some pointers.

Theuns and Rob

I'll be starting the Hun after my Hind is complete. I'm at the opening the box, studying the instructions and ordering new decals stage.

Thanks Rob. Believe you me, I'm learning new ways of using this Alclad product and will have an easier time tackling the other Voodoo that I have. I may covert that one to a A model or RF just to change the flavor.
