If you do want to run this GB, might I suggest looking at what other GB's are currently running, we have close to 30 at the moment, and consider if there is room for it currently or if maybe it could be fitted in in the future. You might want to start a feeler thread in which you can put the general rules, start and finish dates and so on. then you can see if there is enough interest. Some subjects are more popular than others.

and BISH is probably in 20 of them.

Don't be silly.

Some good advice in the post above. There plenty of ways to run things, if the GB is going along nicely, then indeed you don't need to comment on every post.

As for the badge, the host can stat that badges can't be added to your signature until, the build is completed. Again, that's up to the host.

Bish,

If I take offence to any suggestions, comments, constructive criticism, or corrections, I may as well leave this forum and lock myself in the house and not come out. The world does not need another self centered, thin skinned person. So no I didn't take offence, and I appreciate greatly any and all suggestions, comments, constructive criticism or corrections. That's how we grow an learn.

Thank you for showing an interest in my postings.

Steve

That's good to hear. Its hard to know what you can say to people until you get to know them. Most of us here are here to help others what ever it is with. Its not a competition where we are all looking to get one over on each other.

We do like to have a few giggles along the way and a little bit of leg pulling. though I do get upset at times when wayne keeps pointing out how many GB's I am in Big Smile

As to the duration of the GB, my own view is that its better to make it sure and extended it a bit than have it to long and it just fades away in a slow death. So 6 to 8 months would be a good start. Just keep in mind the sort of kits people will be building and how long they may take. I wouldn't worry about this thread being a long lead in. It may well get less busy but people will keep it in the back of their minds until the actual build thread starts.

Oh my gosh that's a great explanation Bish, Thank you for the link.

I believe I will host a build next year, after I check the end dates of existing GB's, test the waters (it looks like hogfanfs and checkmaking02 are in), and join a few GB's to get the feel.

Right now I would be looking at June 15 2015 to celebrate the first flight of Boeing's first Model 1 B&W seaplane.

So, what do the rest of you think? A Boing Build mid 2015?

It would include:

Any Boeing built design, military or civilian, any era.

OOB and AM ok, I'll think about crossovers.

Any joint Boeing AC, such as hogfanfs F/A 18,

Let me know while I do my homework.

Steve

Sounds pretty good to me Steve

I'll commit to this one.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I wonder if anyone will make some AM decals for the PT-17 Revell just put out. I would be interested in doing one of those to get some bi-plane experience so I don't butcher my Roden Gladiator when I get around to it.

Just remember its love of the hobby over anything!!! check my SIG; you should join ;) it is anything ground attack related, any era, any country, even helicopters lol! Join the party!

O and make sure you give members enough time to complete their builds and state whether they must finish 1 or 2 subjects! They are usually 6 months to a year (usually)

Just got word from Boeing regarding using their logo. I wanted to use the old totem pole logo, but alas, I don't  have permission to use ANY of their logos. I'll come up with something.

Unfortunately, MC, that does not surprise me.
