2015 Messerschmitt Bf 109 Group Build

I'm going to use Gunze acrylics for my build. They just spray so nicely and I think their RLM colors look pretty good (no expert on that subject though)...

Doug: I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I can only imagine how you must be feeling.

I decided to try the Vallejo Model Air.  Used them for the first time on my Bf 110G-4 and they spray very nice.  Love them.  No thinning needed.  Give a great covering.  Will be using them on this GB.  I have yet to decide weather I will go with a Condor Legion Bf 109D or go with a nachtjager, all black Bf 109D.

Good choice in paints. I aint had any problem with 'em yet. Either way on your 109 sounds killer!

To Doug.  I know exactly how you feel. Sorry for your loss. I also took some advice from my earlier post about swastikas.  I did order a set of Aeromaster swastika decals  from Sprue Brothers and I also ordered some wheels made by Aires.  I'm looking forward to getting started on this build and learning something.

Thank you Jubya, We miss her but realize that she lived a good long life and was a great part of the family. Thanks again my friend.

Jay: Well, I tried to keep it a secret, but I guess there's no use for that? I decided to throw in my big K-4 as well (Hasegawa reboxed by Revell). That improvised RLM 02/81/82 scheme on the boxtop looks really appealing if you ask me...

It would be great to see you build as well though, so go for it man!

Schatten, good choice! I have really been getting interested in the late war 109's camo. Done a bunch of reading on the G-10's and K-4's. A lot of interesting schemes. I like the one on the box. Looks challenging. I built one some years ago and have a few more I want to do. I used the Eagle Parts cockpit which is gorgeous. Looking forward to your build.

There's a local modelling fair here in Vienna on March 7th/8th. Aires show up there every year with some pretty nice discounts (up to 30%), so I'm probably going to pick up a few 109 cockpits at their booth and go with one of those for my K-4.

That 109 of yours looks awesome BTW! I really like the color scheme!

Do you have any experience with the Radu Brinzan PE gear bays? I already have Aires gear bays for most of my Hasegawa 109s, but his K-4 set looks really nice. It also includes some extra details for the rather simplistic gear bay covers supllied in the kit...

I haven't used his gear bays, but they look very nice. I do use his belts, and love them. In fact those are his on the K-4. Most realistic looking ones I have found.

Well my goal is when this build begins I will be in a spot that I could begin the interior.  Might make that goal.  Not much left to do to the wing.

I have a question for the RLM 'experten'. When did RLM 76 'late war' replace RLM 65 for the underside color? Yes, I know the answer 'might' be obvious, but It seems to me 65 was not used much after the Friedrichs?
