Thanks Gamera: Maybe a styrene dal would be better, you can see the wood grain in the toothpick. A good coat of paint should cover that up.
Goldhammer: Always hate that when the paint bleeds. Looking forward to seeing those decals go on.
Work continues on the Kate. Three days ago I hand cut the canopy masks with tamiya tape, the front and rear parts that have a curve to them I used a circle template to cut the shapes out. They where dipped in future before hand, masking took about hour. The kit comes with both closed and open canopy. They where airbrushed tamiya XF-11 J.N. Green.

The fuselage and wings are glued, filled and sanded. Part fit was just about perfect, had to do some sanding where the rear of the wing meats the bottom of the fuselage. All that's left is making the cockpit opening and the Kate will be ready for primer. The small three clear parts where masked before gluing on.
