OK, then! Life, work, etc. but finally finished a few builds, so I'll start posting some pics if you guys don't mind (B-Wing will be next). Maybe will get everyone revved up for the next movie and GB. :-)

In any event, here's the Partisan X-Wing from Rogue One. Kit is the Revell re-boxing of the Fine Molds' ship.

Oh wow that chipping an wear looks perfect Porkbits! I haven't even touched my A-Wing since the GB ended. 

Frankly I'm looking forward to the next GB here more than the movie. I really need an excuse to start on my Han (Harrison friggin' Ford- the ONLY Han Solo) Solo figure. 

PB, my plan is to start the next installment on May 1st next year, unless they move the release date of Ep IX that is.

I saw that! That's insane. Not only more $$$ than the Bandai PG Falcon, but four feet long lol? Absolutely no room for that in my house. 

I mean, unless it was a four-foot long Bandai PG Star Destroyer. Then I'd make room. 

Oh btw I saw this yesterday- an over a yard/metre long model of Jabba's sail barge by Kenner. That is if they raise the money though a Kickstarter program. Only five hundred bucks US!!!

Pretty cool. I've heard of people repainting those wargaming ships and that they make pretty decent models.

I'm trying to temper my expectations for Solo, especially bc of all the production problems. Guess we'll see.

As to the Solo movie, well it's gone though a half-dozen scripts and multiple directors. It's starting to smell like the original 'Casino Royale' which had the same issues and turned into a royal fustercluck of the first order. Ron Howard is a pretty darn good director but I don't think even he can salvage this.

Funny thing I heard, as bad as the last movie did in China since the Chinese have very little experience with 'Star Wars' they're dropping the SW name altogether and calling it 'Ranger Solo'...

I kinda go back and forth on liking TLJ bomber but....if Bandai made a kit, I'm sure I'd buy it lol.

Man I'm going to have to get one of those Bandai Falcon's someday!  You're doing a great job with it.  

I'd also love to see a 1/72 B-Wing, and one of the bombers from Last Jedi.  Though I remember seeing that they called them SF-17 Starfortresses.  Wonder where that inspiration came from...

As far as "Solo" goes, I have no expectations.  I'm not too keen on some of the things I saw in the trailer, and with all of the production problems the movie had I'm going into it not expecting much from it.  Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I am keeping hopful for it. I really liked Rouge One and am hoping this will be as good. lets hope the coach did a good job.

Aha Hey, Bish, it's PB, not Bob, but thanks! If you mean the cockpit panels, those are actually decals. Probably the only bad part of the kit--decals took a ton of solvent to settle down and the cockpit backwall isn't great. The panels for the turret pit are all painted.

And have watched the Solo trailer multiple multiple times. :-) I'm cautiously optimistic. I think the one thing that can torpedo this movie is the actor who plays Solo. Read they had to bring in an acting coach at one point to help him "get" the character. Yikes.

In any event, if B-Wing does go on sale, I'm gonna get a least two.

I had not seen this, just did a search and found a thread on Brit modeller from April last year saying this was in the pipeline. While not a rebel fan, i have always wanted to do a B-wing. So i hope it is true.

Also, i take it you guys have seen the Solo trailer. I heard it was shown during the superbowl.

Bob, stunning job on the Falcon, some very nice interiour detail there. Those dark panel sections, are they decals.

BUT...I'm going on the assumption it's the real deal since I've been waiting for a good kit of this ship for literally 40 years. 

Anyway, while waiting for aftermarket for Su-34, I've gotten a good start on the Bandai Falcon. It's an incredible kit.
