Well, I wanted to do more progress pics before she was finished, but she got on to it today and finished her up before I could post the pics!

I couldn't be more proud of her!  She did a great job I think.  She made Anakin about as good as you could for this model (as a matter of fact, she wants to keep the canopy OFF so you can see him better) and she did a smashing job on the decals for a first timer.  Here it is...my daugters Naboo Fighter.

Big parts being put together here:

Doing the decals:

And the finished build:

In the cockpit, I showed her the old punch set and sequence trick.  She picked the colors, punched the dots, and super glued them in herself!

Thanks for looking!

Again, Bish, thanks for hosting a rockin GB!  Can't wait for next years!  Whistling

Thats quick even for that kit. She wouldn't want to come over and give me a hand with a few of mine would she.

Tell her well done, a first model is an important step in the right direction Wink And thank you both for taking part.

It was a simple snap tite kit.  Fit issues, but we took care of it.  LOL!

I'll send her right over...of course, you'll have to split your time with her with Janet.  LOL!

I'll tell her.

Thank you sir!

Man, that AT-AT looks nice! I will definetly have to get one. Has anyone heard anything about the 1/35 AT-AT that Dragon was going to put out? I saw a few test shots on their web site but now nothing.

Eagle your Y-wing came out really nice, I like the contrast in the different shades. Your daughter did a great job on the N-1. Let her take a crack at some of those kits in your stash she would do them proud! ( And give you an excuse to get some of the newer kits, lol)

PB, lovin the work on the Snowspeeder that is going to be nice.

As for me, I am temporarily stalled. I have to get some continuing education credits for my license renewal in May, so my hour or so modeling time is being spent sitting at the computer doing classes. I have about 10 more hours to go so I should be back at it in 1-2 weeks. I may sneek some time in over the weekend, you know, all work and no play and all that.

In other news, if anyone is interested. There is a 1/72 scale TIE Defender resin kit now available. It is for sale at Starship modeler, but before you go running over there they are currently sold out. I just wanted to let you know so you can keep an eye out for it. Bad news is it is only a few dollars cheaper than the 1/48 kit that I have put together. And, the TIE Defender is officially canon, a working prototype was used in the last episode of Star Wars Rebels, you can probably get a clip on youtube.

Stephan, according to scalemates, its due out this year. But thats all i know. But where Dragon is concerned, i won't hold my breath. But that will be a series chunk of plastic at over .6m tall. I'll be keeping a watch out though.

Thanks for the heads up on the 72nd Defender, will keep an eye out for that as well. I did e-mail the guy at Multi verse last year to ask if any of the conversions would would with bandai kits. I am really interested in the clutch and the raptor. He said he didn't think they would but he was working on some new kits for this year and basically to watch this space. So will be interested to see what else he has coming. I see on his site he already has 2 conversions for Bandai kits.

Eagle, those figure kits are nice. I did a stormtrooper this past December and it was a blast. They are about the same size as those 6" black series figures you see at Walmart. Only thing is they don't have the heft of those figures.

The ones you put together are the ones that snap together and have both decals and stickers?

Yes they are snap together and have stickers or decals. Look up some of the build reviews on youtube, there are quite a few of them. Bandai has a nice selection of figures to choose from now.

Quick question for those of you that have built or are building Bandai kits...what kinds of paints are you using? I've read that the plastic Baindai uses reacts badly to enamels. If you're using enamels, have you experienced this?
