Yer welcome! Like a lot of these sites, the UI isn't great, but decipherable.

The one thing I like about Imgur is that you can automatically resize images as you import them (you can select from several preset ratios). Saves some work.

SB,

The X-wing detail look fantastic! This thing is really going to be stunning when complete.

Quick update on my TIE Fighter, I am almost complete. I have some progress pictures, but, since the photobucket debacle, I haven't found a picture hosting site yet. Once I do, I will post the remaining photos.

I have a lot of the greeblies put in.  Quite a few went in around the astromech port and I couldn't get a good picture of the area. Here's the completed engine:

The proton torpedo launcher:

Access panel under the ship:

And lastly, here's where I'm at with the cockpit.  I still have to fill some areas and sand, then add in some more greeblies and paint it.

Greeblie-licious, Bob! That pit is looking good. You'll have to post pics when you get her painted up.

So after much rumination, I'm going to save the Cave Angel X-Wing for next year's GB. And my will finally broke down and I ordered the Bandai 1/72 Falcon. Whistling So I'll probably include that one, too. Even if I start it later this year, it'll probably take me a full year to finish.

IN THE MEANTIME, probably go back to my usual ac builds--Hobby Boss' Su-34 is looking at me forlornly from stash. Hm.

In any event, looking forward to the rest of the work here.

Hope all is well!

Gamera I sympathize. When it's humid like that I literally want to do nothing. Thankfully we've had a pretty mild summer here in Michigan

Still plugging away at this, getting all the internal parts together and finding suitable greeblies to stuff inside.  With just a couple of little things here and there, most of them are done.  They are mostly car parts with some absolutely random things I found scattered around my spares boxes.

The cockpit is also ready to go into the fuselage.  I'm going to do the coaming panel and sidewalls after it's inside, I think it will be easier to get everything lined up properly that way.  I rigged up some hoses by the seat and built the targeting computer.  You can't see it very well in the picture but there are some foot pedals under the instrument panel as well.

NMT:

I switched to Imgur and haven't had any issues. The only difference I could note between PB and Imgur (and the only reason I liked PB) is that PB seemed to automatically scale full-sized images when you posted them on a third-party site, while with Imgur you have to do resizing manually before posting.

Also, about a month ago someone on another forum posted an excerpt from the Imgur ToS that seemed to indicate, in harsh language, that they would murder you and your family if you posted Imgur photos to third-party sites but...I haven't heard anything about that since and I'm still alive so.....

That seems a bit harsh for posting pics. Make PB's demand for 400 bucks seem almost reasonable

Thanks guys, it's been too hard to get in some solid bench time so this isn't going as fast as I was hoping. Hopefully I can get a lot done this week.

No worries Bob, i have been struggling a bit as well. Hopeing to get some done this week and then put in a good session at the weekend.

Liking the mods on this Silentbob.

On another note, trying to find a replacement for photobucket, I was thinking about using Imagur. Anyone have any comments good or bad or other suggestions? I would like to start posting pics soon.

I didn't realise you were doing this much to it either. Like the idea of the open torpedo launcher. Can't wait to see more.

Just to prove I'm still plugging along on this, here's where I'm at.

I drilled out the proton torpedo launcher tubes and removed a panel so I can build the launcher inside.

I've also modified one of the engines so that it will be visible when the panel is open.  I still have a lot of work to do here in modifying the parts so that the panel would actually fit closed over the assembly.

Lastly, here are some card stock templates I made for the cockpit.  The plan is I'm going to use them to cut styrene parts from a sheet then glue them in position once the cockpit is in the fuselage and then putty up any gaps.  Then I'll paint it all up.  I'll get the hard to reach areas painted before I put it in.  I still need to build the targeting computer as well.
