On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Again sharp work there Bob!!!
And again sorry here, it's so humid and hot I've been just collapsing after work and haven't got much of anything done......

No worries G, still got a few months to run yet.
On my bench: Academy 1/35 UH-60L Black Hawk
Greeblie-licious, Bob! That pit is looking good. You'll have to post pics when you get her painted up.
So after much rumination, I'm going to save the Cave Angel X-Wing for next year's GB. And my will finally broke down and I ordered the Bandai 1/72 Falcon. So I'll probably include that one, too. Even if I start it later this year, it'll probably take me a full year to finish.
IN THE MEANTIME, probably go back to my usual ac builds--Hobby Boss' Su-34 is looking at me forlornly from stash. Hm.
In any event, looking forward to the rest of the work here.
Hope all is well!
PB
Ohhhhh, the Cave Angel sounded so cool. Guess I can wait till next year.....
Lol, I knew someone was gonna say that! Hmmmm.......
Porkbits Lol, I knew someone was gonna say that! Hmmmm.......
Lol, gives me another good reason to sign on to Bish's next SW GB.
Gamera Porkbits Lol, I knew someone was gonna say that! Hmmmm....... Lol, gives me another good reason to sign on to Bish's next SW GB.
Like you ned one
I have a lot of the greeblies put in. Quite a few went in around the astromech port and I couldn't get a good picture of the area. Here's the completed engine:
The proton torpedo launcher:
Access panel under the ship:
And lastly, here's where I'm at with the cockpit. I still have to fill some areas and sand, then add in some more greeblies and paint it.
Nice progress Bob.
Those details look great! Keep photos coming....
SB,
The X-wing detail look fantastic! This thing is really going to be stunning when complete.
Quick update on my TIE Fighter, I am almost complete. I have some progress pictures, but, since the photobucket debacle, I haven't found a picture hosting site yet. Once I do, I will post the remaining photos.
Bruce
On the bench: 1/48 Eduard MiG-21MF
1/35 Takom Merkava Mk.I
No worries Bruce, look forward to seeing them when you can.
I have mad a small start on my second build, but wouldn't you kow it, batteries on my camera have run out, so will be picking some up tomorrow.
Looking forward to pics, Bruce. FYI, I've used Imgur without any problems.
Thanks Bish, and PB!
I just registered with Imgur, I'll upload some photos tonight after work. Thanks for the lead, PB!
Yer welcome! Like a lot of these sites, the UI isn't great, but decipherable.
The one thing I like about Imgur is that you can automatically resize images as you import them (you can select from several preset ratios). Saves some work.
Bob: That looks sharp, cool that you're kit-bashing the detail the same way the ILM guys did on the real thing.
Bruce: Hope Imgur works out. I switched to ImageShack and it's lightyears better than PhotoBucket.
As promised pictures of the very dirty TIE Fighter:
Command Pod Front:
Command Pod Aft:
And one of the Solar Array panels:
I have to finish the laser guns, attach the top hatch and the front window. Then do a little more weathering.
Yeah, that's fantastic Bruce!
I do like that Bruce, nicely weathered.
Thanks, guys! I hope to have it finished by this weekend.
Bruce, can't remember if you mention it earlier. What colour did you paint the main body. I am trying to find a decent grey or mix but can't settle on anything.
Bish,
The paint call out in the Fine Mold's directions was for Light Grey FS36492 and I used Neutral Grey for darker grey details throughout the pod.
Thanks Bruce, i like the colour of that.
Pre-shading is spot on, Bruce! That's gonna look great when finished.
Thanks, PB!
Gentleman,
I'm calling the TIE Fighter done!
I purchased the Paragrafix TIE Fighter PE set, and I really think it made the detail pop out. I used MM Light Grey for the base coat and MM Neutral Grey on the Command Pod details. I used Tamiya XF69 NATO Black for the Solar Array Panels.
I want to thank Bish for running this GB again. I really enjoy these Star Wars GBs, they are the only ones I seem to finish!
And here are the pictures:
