Bench time has come at even more of a premium now that school has started.  We have a new principal and his new requirements for us teachers is leaving me with less free time than before.  But I have been stealing a few minutes here and there and got some actual time tonight.  Here is the peg I was talking about:

And how it looks with the wings together:

Then sanded smooth:

And now it's starting to look like an X-Wing!

Hello everyone! Fantastic builds in here! Would you mind if I joined you all with a AT-ST Walker? It has been opened, fondled, some parts cleaned up and then left languishing while I moved from Japan to NAWS China Lake, and that was quite a few years ago now. :-)

Thanks Bish & Gamera! Here is the boxing:

And the (dusty) parts. The 'Army Figure' was to be a basis for a Chewbacca figure!

Thanks again!

Welcome, Lodni!

Unfortunately, photo links appear to be broken....?

Hmmm, that's odd - I get Lodni's top photo (the box cover) with Pale Moon but a broken link icon with Chrome. I get the broken link icon with both on the lower photo.

Strange - I can see both photos. I'm running Windows 8 with Chrome.

While I was eating lunch, I mangaged to give the parts a bath. They should be dry by the time I get back. Time

Got a bit of work done on the 'head':

While I don't really have time to super-detail it, I do want to correct a few things and add some visual interest Cool

Looks cool Lodni! And yes I can see all your photos now.

I'm interested in how you'll be converting the soldier into a Wookie!

Yep, can see pics now. /thumbsup

Which kit is this?

More AT-ST builds here might finally tempt me to buy the Bandai kit. :-)

Thanks everyone!Cool

Gamera - I was going to use Milliput & Perfect Plastic Putty, with some sprue bits. I was going to at least TRY! Wink

Porkbits - this is the old AMT/ERTL 'SNAP' kit.

Didn't get quite as much done this weekend as I had hoped but still made some progress on this.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Excellent! I thought it might be the AMT/ERTL.

Well, the AT-ST builds here finally broke my resolve and I ordered the Bandai AT-ST.

So it's the GB's fault for this expenditure, not mine! My story and I'm sticking to it. :-)

I hear ya, Porkbits! One day I will eventually pick up one of those Bandai AT-ST's!

Kinda tired today but managed to get the 'armoured glass' installed.

Bish - there are several YouTube builds of this, plus a very comprehensive one over at StarshipModeler.com Wink

I also glued down the hatch support before I forgot. Hope everyone's Monday didn't beat them up too much! Toast

Ye ye, you know all of us have used that excuse and none of us buy it Wink

It would be nice to see some 48th stormtrooper figures to go with that. Originally i had considered converting German figures to go with the AMT kit, for some reason i used to think that was 48th. Now having this bandai kit, i may looking into the figure conversion option.

Thanks everyone! I was going to spray the backs of the windows a blue color but I didn't have any blue food coloring or a good shade of blue to put into some clear. I ended up just using a SHARPIE! LOL

Starting the seam work. I prefer to use styrene strips & scrap bits rather than just try to fill a big gap with putty! Plus, I covered a big sink mark in the front with some old phone card plastic card - it still had some writing on it so it should look interesting once painted.
