Bish

Interesting find G. I have heard of that company before, starwarsmodels.com has a few in resin in 1/6th and 1/15. Yours sounds similar to the big screamin kits. Its a pity those company's are no longer doing SW kits.

Yeah, someone had the Screamin' kit listed on Ebay too but they wanted much, much, more for it. It seems to be a bit bigger too, it was listed as 1/4th as opposed to this one at 1/6th. Anyway thirty US is a great deal, I hope it's not missing parts- he listed it with the interior plastic bag sealed so I'm crossing my fingers.

The Screamin kits can go for a range of prices. I picked the Stormtrooper up for £30, plus another 30 shipping from the US. I have seen the Boba fett go for well over 100 but managed to pick one up for 60. It largely depends on the charector, i have found the Solo one on e-bay in the UK for 55.

They are some times listed as 1/4 scale, but they are not really. They are all done to a height of 18 inches. My Stormtrooper is about 2 inches taller than vader, but because Vader is holding his light sabre up, that takes it to 18inches.

Thanks Bish, that's interesting. As said this was $30.00 US with free shipping so personally I thought it was a steal. (Hope I didn't get robbed.)

The Screamin' Solo I saw on Ebay was $70.00 plus 10.05 shipping which is I think is about 60.00 UK pounds (no pound sign on this US keyboard Sad) so that's pretty close.

Odd about the box scales, I'd want Vader and the Stormtrooper to be the same scale at least!

They do look a bit odd on the shelf. I believe Screamin did rebox some of the Kaiyodo kits. And though a bit smaller, the Kaiyodo are meant to be better. The is the guys write up on his Solo kit which is a Screamin/Kaiyodo boxing.

I am guessing its the same as what you have.

Thanks Bish, looks like a good kit from his description. If I can get mine to look anywhere as good as his I'll be really happy!

Han came yesterday.

The bag was sealed and everything there and in like new condition. His blaster is in the plastic bag, I didn't want to pull it out:

Sorry about the blurry photo but I think you can see they did a great job on capturing Ford's likeness:

Cliff,

That is a awesome looking kit. The details are fantastic, and it does look remarkably like Harrison Ford.

I did just get the Screamin 1/4 Stormtrooper for $30 + shipping. I couldn't resist! And I sprung for several on the 1/12 Bandai figure kits. These are amazing kits it you haven't seen them.

Great deal there Bruce!

And now I'm raring to go on the next SW GB as an excuse to start on this figure. But I've already got a Creature From the Black Lagoon figure and a bunch of other stuff that needs to be finished first.

@Silentbob33,

I apologize for not saying this sooner, your x-wing looks fantastic! The weathering is outstanding!

@Porkbits,

I will apologize to you as well, your AT-ST is outstanding! The chipping and weathering are perfection. I really need to get this Bandai kit.

I agree, no apologies needed Bruce!  Well I'm finally done!  This project really seemed to drag at the end with a lot of life getting in the way and being put out of action by the flu for a week.  I didn't take any WIP pictures of the diorama accessories as I just wanted to get this off the bench.

To recap, this is a maintenance diorama of Antoc Merrick's (Blue Leader) X-Wing at Yavin Base sometime prior to the Battle of Scarif in Rogue One.

Thanks again for hosting this one Bish!

Thanks PB! The figures came from all over the place. The pilot is a modified from one of the figures in Monogram's F-4 kit, the ground crew are from a US Navy ground crew set that I pilfered from my dad's spares when I was a kid, and the head of the alien crew chief came from a set of Warhammer 40K Tau. The droids were 3D printed from Shapeways.

Thanks Gamera! Knowing how those guys built those models back then, and reading books like "Sculpting a Galaxy" is the main reason I don't ever throw away extra parts; you never know when something would make a good greeblie

So sorry to revive this dead thread, Bish but doing so just one more quick time because....

Hope you guys saw the photos out of Wonderfest of the Bandai 1/72 B-Wing. There's some question as to whether or not it's an official release or just a tease:

https://twitter.com/HobbySite/status/965065530586546177

BUT...I'm going on the assumption it's the real deal since I've been waiting for a good kit of this ship for literally 40 years. Propeller

Anyway, while waiting for aftermarket for Su-34, I've gotten a good start on the Bandai Falcon. It's an incredible kit.

Hope everyone is well!

No need to say sorry Bob, feel free to bring the thread back to life when ever you want.

I had not seen this, just did a search and found a thread on Brit modeller from April last year saying this was in the pipeline. While not a rebel fan, i have always wanted to do a B-wing. So i hope it is true.

If anyone else gets any news, feel free to post it here.

Also, i take it you guys have seen the Solo trailer. I heard it was shown during the superbowl.

Bob, stunning job on the Falcon, some very nice interiour detail there. Those dark panel sections, are they decals.

Aha Hey, Bish, it's PB, not Bob, but thanks! Stick out tongue If you mean the cockpit panels, those are actually decals. Probably the only bad part of the kit--decals took a ton of solvent to settle down and the cockpit backwall isn't great. The panels for the turret pit are all painted.

And have watched the Solo trailer multiple multiple times. :-) I'm cautiously optimistic. I think the one thing that can torpedo this movie is the actor who plays Solo. Read they had to bring in an acting coach at one point to help him "get" the character. Yikes.

In any event, if B-Wing does go on sale, I'm gonna get a least two.

Sorry PB, i was looking at the post above.

Ye, sorry, i meant the pit panels. It does look nice with those and you have done a very nice job on the gun positions.

I am keeping hopful for it. I really liked Rouge One and am hoping this will be as good. lets hope the coach did a good job.

I'll deffinetly be grabbing one and i am hoping they are working on the bomber from Last jedi.

Man I'm going to have to get one of those Bandai Falcon's someday!  You're doing a great job with it.

I'd also love to see a 1/72 B-Wing, and one of the bombers from Last Jedi.  Though I remember seeing that they called them SF-17 Starfortresses.  Wonder where that inspiration came from...

As far as "Solo" goes, I have no expectations.  I'm not too keen on some of the things I saw in the trailer, and with all of the production problems the movie had I'm going into it not expecting much from it.  Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks, guys! Hoping this will convince a couple of you to refinance the house, sell the car, a kid, family heirloom, or kidney or two...whatever it takes! Definitely worth the price if you're a Falcon fan.

I kinda go back and forth on liking TLJ bomber but....if Bandai made a kit, I'm sure I'd buy it lol.
