Will add you to the list Justin. I have built that old Speeder Bike, its one of my few old ones to have survived. And i have 2 more this time to hopefully do a better job on. The only issue with the kit is the stand, which is to flimsy.

Go ahead and throw my name on  the list....I hate joining these things because something always comes up and I never finish, but, my son won a millennium falcon model by selling a boat load of popcorn with his cub scout pack, and he will be having me show him how to build that, so I know I will finish.  I'm not sure of the kit, as he will recieve it at the January pack meeting...I will update!

Also, I just ordered the old MPC Return of the Jedi speeder bike (I've wanted one 9f those since I was a kid!!!), so there is a good chance that will get built as well....

I also stumbled across an old MPC A-wing fighter kit. If I finish the Vader TIE, I may slap this old thing together too.

I will be starting on January 1st with the TIE fighter. I did open the box last night and wow its a nicely detailed kit. Very few parts. And the PE should make a very nice addition.

Thanks G, I forgot how big the MPC kit was. I did have one but of course that was a few decades ago!

Not sure when I'll get started. I may do a little this weekend, we'll have to see. I've got some small red LEDs and am thinking of sticking them in the fighter's engines.

Wow that Star Destroyer sounds awesome, that makes it about twice the size of the vintage kit?

Good luck to you guys that joined the FSM one month build. I considered it but I'm not sure I can even finish something as simple as this little A-Wing in a month...

Gamera, the Zvesda kit is around 1.5x the MPC kit (24" versus 16").  It does not sound like a lot, but the volume is 1.5x1.5x1.5 (3.375) bigger.

My fastest build as an adult was a Fine Molds TIE Fighter, which took 7 days.  It was straight OOTB, with the exception of me angrily scraping all the raised lettering off the stand base.  For some reason I found the "Star Wars" and "TM" made me angry.  Which led to fear and hatred, which in turn paved the way to the Dark Side of modeling.  Now I mostly build stupid limited run kits.  Strong is the Dark Side; beware its power lest you be tempted by it.  Consume you it will.

Bruce, i was just doing some searching and came across a site with a link to a German store which is listing a Revell 1/2670 SD for release in April. The Zvezda is listed as 1/2700 but it has to be the same kit. Their price is 90Euro's.

There is not an awful lot to the shuttle, i bad reckoned on it being a 3 week build,so that was perfect for the FSM Build. And starting on New Years day,i shoulkd be able to get a lot done. The Mrs is working and sleeping out over night, so all being well i can pull an all day session.

Hey guys, not to be a troublemaker but Zvesda has just released a 24" Star Destroyer.  No in-scale Blockade Runner or Falcon in the box (you know Bandai would have), but hey it's a serious ISD kit.  Every Imperial Household should have one.  Prices are all over the place on auction sites, from around $100 to $150, but if you are serious about imposing Imperial rule and spreading fear across the galaxy...

Is it finally out, saw a post on it last month. I believe Revell are meant to be re-boxing it for wider release. I don't think i will hasve one for this GB, but i hope someone does.

I'm waiting for the Revell release too. And when it does, I will be pulling the trigger!

Will do Stephan, looking forward to that.

Iam not sure if i was misreading things earlier this year or if the release date for Rouge One has been brought forward a day. But either way, the movie is being released on Thurs, the 15th, so the GB comes forward one day.

Okay, after thinking about this, I have decided to go with the 1/48 Tri-fighter (aka TIE Defender). This kit was mastered by Alfred Wong and kitted by Bluemoon. So Bish if you don't mind putting me down for this. If things go well I am sure I will do something else.

Yep, same here. I wish I would have waited before getting the Annigrand SD. Oh, well maybe I could do a box or build comparison.

Yeah!!! The next SW GB is almost here! I would like to join up also. I have two ships that I am considering, either the TIE Defender in 1/48 scale or the Consular class cruiser in 1/350 scale. Hmmm, decisions, decisions. Any preference from you guys? Let me know what you think.

I'm not going to be any help here because I think both subjects are very cool! I checked the SM website and both are sold out. Damn! But, I guess, if I was going to purchase one, I'd pick the TIE Defender first.

Don't judge me, but I just picked up a Revell Darth Vader TIE Advance fighter from the clearance aisle at Hobby Lobby yesterday. It was originally $39.99 but on sale for $8.63 (such a random price). The last time I built Vader's TIE was ages ago with the old MPC kit. I will join and slap together this kid's kit, but I will probably paint it.

A few years ago some of my students got me the Anakin/Episodes IV and V Luke set. They work pretty well for Sushi, but not so much for General Tso's Chicken. I'm still mulling things around for what I want to build. My mind has been wandering thinking about bringing an X-Wing from my childhood back from the dead...
