Stupid friggin' gremlins- I always lose at least one part from everything. Sometimes as soon as room air hits the open box something will evaporate.....

You're making great progress there anyway!

I searched pretty throughly for that part - no dice. Bish, I'm in the process of that now. May not look EXACTLY the same but it will be close! I have a decently stocked parts/doo-dads bin so I am fairly confident I can get the upper leg fixed and be on track by the weekend.

Hope everyone else is having better luck! LOL Cool

Hey Bob, somehow I missed you before. Nice work, I know what you mean about it seeming like you're masking in reverse but it is easier that way.

Lodni: Looks cool, good luck with the missing part.

That X-Wing is looking good SilentBob.

I just got done cleaning out the back holes for the powerpack and started putting the legs together. That is when I realized I was missing a part! I was hoping to have it together to start painting by the end of the week. Sad

Lodni, your AT-ST is looking like it's off to a good start!

I've been plinking away at the X-Wing.  I finally got a primer coat on and sprayed the first color: blue.  I used Testor's flat sea blue.  I'll mask it then paint a few different grays.  I need to find a good pale yellow color.  If I can't find a good color at the LHS I'll try mixing some light gray with yellow.  Then I'll get everything masked and spray the overall color.  It's kind of strange painting markings before the main color.  But I'm thinking this way there will be a LOT less masking.  Here's where she is now.

Gamera

Hey if a Sharpie works good for you!!!

If I did one I'd be tempted to try to sculpt a dead Ewok to hang over the sink mark on the front armour plate....

Thats just cruel.

I like it Big Smile

Thanks everyone! I was going to spray the backs of the windows a blue color but I didn't have any blue food coloring or a good shade of blue to put into some clear. I ended up just using a SHARPIE! LOL

Starting the seam work. I prefer to use styrene strips & scrap bits rather than just try to fill a big gap with putty! Plus, I covered a big sink mark in the front with some old phone card plastic card - it still had some writing on it so it should look interesting once painted.

Lodni Kranazon

I hear ya, Porkbits! One day I will eventually pick up one of those Bandai AT-ST's!

Kinda tired today but managed to get the 'armoured glass' installed.

Bish - there are several YouTube builds of this, plus a very comprehensive one over at StarshipModeler.com Wink

I also glued down the hatch support before I forgot. Hope everyone's Monday didn't beat them up too much! Toast

Ye, seen the one over on Starship. Always nice to see a build live. Its looking good, like what you did with the windows.

Porkbits

Excellent! I thought it might be the AMT/ERTL.

Well, the AT-ST builds here finally broke my resolve and I ordered the Bandai AT-ST.

So it's the GB's fault for this expenditure, not mine! My story and I'm sticking to it. :-)

Ye ye, you know all of us have used that excuse and none of us buy it Wink

It would be nice to see some 48th stormtrooper figures to go with that. Originally i had considered converting German figures to go with the AMT kit, for some reason i used to think that was 48th. Now having this bandai kit, i may looking into the figure conversion option.

Lodni Kranazon

Thanks everyone!Cool

Gamera - I was going to use Milliput & Perfect Plastic Putty, with some sprue bits. I was going to at least TRY! Wink

Porkbits - this is the old AMT/ERTL 'SNAP' kit.

Didn't get quite as much done this weekend as I had hoped but still made some progress on this.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Some progress is better than done. I have this in the stash, different boxing i think, so i'll be keen to see how it builds up.

Porkbits

Yep, can see pics now. /thumbsup

Which kit is this?

More AT-ST builds here might finally tempt me to buy the Bandai kit. :-)

PB

I'd recomend it PB, its nice. Certainly better than the other options.

Looks cool Lodni! And yes I can see all your photos now.

I'm interested in how you'll be converting the soldier into a Wookie!
