The funnel decal exploded on application, so having to paint that which will be fun...

What colour stripe?  if you have some clear decal film, you can spray the appropriate paint and once dry, trim the size of strip you need?  Not sure how well this will work since it will be on a very curved surface.

Guys, great work all around thus far.  Beer

John, very smooth work with the painting there.

Bsyamato, the rectification on the zero's looking good.

Hikawa Maru is coming along, the installation of the PE railing is two steps forward, one step back so far.

Lifeboats and some cranes are installed. The funnel decal exploded on application, so having to paint that which will be fun...

Looking really good Bsyamato, you weren't lying when you said it would be quick!

....

The strange fact is that actually main hardest modify on yhe jake are ready.. just few mods to do to complete normal assembly Crying

Heres works about zero weels, just few things to add before to glue

Scott, the Akagi is coming along nicely there. Nice sort of fleet pose.

Gamera

..

I think I'd cheat and just attach the model to a base so you can't look up into them and see how small they are!

Big SmileBig Smile too many kits with this problem to attach all of them on a base :)

Updates:

Decals IP this afternoon, and this night, matt varnish, drybrush and simulated glasses on IP. Then fuselage on

At the next with wells

As usual very nice work!

Gee, deepening the landing gear bays looks like a lot of work. I think I'd cheat and just attach the model to a base so you can't look up into them and see how small they are!

Scott: Great seeing come together that quickly. Nice compare and contrast with the USN carriers.

Bsyamato: Ah ok, feel free to come by even if you don't have anything new Japanese! The Paul and Laura sound cool.

The hull assembly built up really quick and went together perfectly.  This is one interesting looking ship.

Scott: Looks good, looking forward to seeing how she builds up.

Actually that 1/72nd Airfix Zero would be a cool idea for a GB. Our local IPMS club did a GB of those Hobbyboss 1/72nd quick-build kits a few years ago. Even a few of the car guys joined in.

Bsyamato: Great to see you again, hope everything is ok there! I didn't even know you built armour and trucks.

One again I find myself drag-tailing on my own GB... Embarrassed

Anyway the paint and decals are on the Type 95 Manchurian version. I'm touching up a few overspray spots here and there. Hopefully a filter applied at the end will dull down some of the contrast, just too bright right now!

The figures are cleaned-up, assembled and primed. I just need to finish up some American tank crew figures and hopefully I'll be ready to start on them.
