Some great work happening here guys!! Looking forward to seeing these finished soon!! Within the next month or so I should be back here with my E7K1. Nearing the end of the project on my FW-190. Going to have to do some repairs and put back togetherrs on her as she's been knocked around a bit by my cat's adventurous/curious nature. That and the fact I shouldn't have put the container it is in where I did either
Wow, that silver paint looks fantastic!
Thanks Cliff
Some update about the Hien:
Trasfered in the bunke during last weeks , sanded , primed in grey and bottom black for metal paint with humbrol .
Yesterday returned to the kitchen and used the vallejo air .. with brushes (they works too!) .Silver base and some panel variation. More i did after take pictures
Bsyamato: Great job as usual!
Scott:Ouch, 94 to 44!?! Glad to hear you're ok, from your wildfires to hurricanes down here, earthquakes in Mexico, and s bombing the UK it's been a wild month.....
Montana is somewhere I've got to see someday, too many westerns in my youth- I'd love to see it firsthand.
Looking forward to the photos of the Akagi.
Hey Gam,
I'm checking in, just got back from a few weeks with my Mom in Montana. Boy, one day its 94 degrees and can't see the end of your nose with all the smoke, then bam, twenty four hours later and its 44 degrees and sleeting rain. Miss that funky Rocky Mountain weather, its a blessing.
I was able to get into a hobby shop and they had a bottle of IJN Kure Grey, so now I can start fully into the Akagi this next week.
Scott
Thanks for comments :)

Docidle: Sure! Would be happy to have you. I just put you down on the roster. I may have to call you by Docidle though, Modelcrazy's name is Steve too and I don't want to be too confusing there.
Bsyamato: Looks fantastic, just love all the extra detail you scratch-built into your stuff.
Hunter: Thanks for checking in. It's good to hear you're ok and don't worry about this when you have way more important things to worry about.
Mac,
Nicely done sir....your build looks great!
Just got my first break...I was out on the line for almost 14 hours. I go back out in 6 hours.
Gam, Steve, bsyamato and simpilot thank you for your kind words. I hope to complete her as soon as I get home...after seeing the wife
Steve...you need to stay inside, the air quality is horrible. Last thing you need to do is irritate the situation. Watch the news....you might see me on there lol
Nicely done camo on the Zero Mac (Y)
Other two night session on the zuiun , also worked on the hien (black under belly for silver) but no pictures.

Gamera,
Would you mind if I threw my hat into the ring? I would like to do the Tamiya 1/48 A6M5c Zero. Here's a picture of her. This is my first Tamiya and third aircraft, I'm mostly a ship builder. I'll be using Eduard PE. I have wanted to try a Tamiya model so here I go.
Steve
MAC: I already commented on your post over on the aircraft forum but it bears repeating- very cool!
This is my first attempt at a Japanese aircraft. This fighter belonged to 204 Fighter GroupRabaul 1943. I tried my best on the camouflageI hope you like it
thanks for looking
Mac
Hunter they're right dont worry at all about the time frame, just do your best work and it takes as long as it takes.
Bys thats some great looking scratchbuilding there!!!
Hunter,
What makes you unsatisfied with your build? If it's the time crunch don't worry about it. Gam is one of the most accommodating and forgiving (besides me of course) GB hosts LOL.
You do what you need to do and don't rush on that beautiful Zeek. Getting frustrated or being unsatisfied isn't worth it, it's just a model and you want to do your best.
Go get rid of that fire so we can get this smoke out of here. It's making it hard for me to breathe.
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Hunter: You've got to the end of the year and of course can always roll over into next year. Don't sweat it and keep your head down and stay safe ok? And btw nice work!
Bsyamato: Nice work as usual, love those scratchbuilt seats.
Great work despite low time
More work on the zuiun interior last night:

Hello everyone,
I got the paint scheme done today, and finished assembling all the small pieces that are applied at the end. I am not satisfied with this build at all. Between work and other life events I have had a tight time frame, and I received a call this morning informing me that I will deployed to one of the larger wild fires going right now. So I have to get this done before Sat. morning because I don't know how long I'll be out.
Just finished airbrushing both IJN Green and Gray
Hunter: Everything looks perfect, always great to see that on the first coat of paint going down.
Bsyamato: Looks like a nice kit, looking forward to seeing you work your magic on her.
Perfect look of the zero :) i have almost all Zero versions , trainer included but missing again the a6m5
Heres the Zuiun progress, starting to fill with details the cockpit, few referencies about this plane
Hey Gam and fellow GB'ers,
Slowly but surely get close to the completion of my zero. Today I got the engine washed...I didn't get to install the plug wires today. I need to go back and reread LawDog's instruction on how to do that. I also got the fuselage together and applied putty, sanded, sanded some more and reprimed the fuselage. Tomorrow I will be painting the cowl, landing gear, fuselage, canopy and applying the decals.
Have a great evening!
modelcrazy Hunter, Oh good, another Zero! I like Zeros. With all of them I've done I still have 4 in the stash. I don't have or ever had a Tamiya though.

I also like the zero, and when you do have a chance to pick up a Tamiya kit do so. Great fit, well explained istructions and they also highlights areas of doing the little extras to the kit.
