Here is a photo I borrowed from a Google search of the Möhne dam that I am aiming for....no pun intended....

The camo is on

I like the look of that Johnny. Really nice work on the scheme. You got a really nice edge on the green.

Done with blue tac.

How did you get the soft edges with Blue Tac?

Justin, your dam shall be fun to watch. I have no idea where you are going and am eager to learn.

Toshi, I want to jump in the backseat and play with those radios.

Greg,  it's not to scale, and it's only a short section of it, but I am aiming for a good representation of the Möhne dam in the Ruhr valley, as a bit of research showed that most of the other dams were pretty nondistinct in their design, and, as a plus, the Möhne was actually breached during the raid, known as Operation Chastise.

Here is where I got by the end of this evening....

The field of blue green and brown is the base coat for what will eventually be the reservoir. ...

Nice, i see where your going with this.

When you spray spray directly above or away from the mask.  If you spray at the mask the edge will be much more of a hard edge.

Brandon, Eagle, and Modelcrazy, outstanding work gentlemen!

Toshi, your build has inspired me to look for a Mossie at Scalefest next month (that's Saturday 3 June, Grapevine Convention Center, Grapevine TX.). It will be in the display case friendly, divine scale (1/72) however.

Justin, the base you're building is most interesting. I look forward to watching it come together.

Keep up the good work gents!

I was able to glue the sluice gate detail onto the front of the dam last night and apply a coat of plaster this morning.  I'll let that plaster dry for a while so I can sand shape and smooth the dam in preparation for paint and weathering.  Once that is finished, I will begin the water effects...

I know!  I had no idea that the electronic equipment would be there.  That's just makes this build so much fun!

Attn: Again, I have never scratch-built anything. After a few days in the sun and then getting my garden ready to plant my chili and spaghetti fixins, I have returned to the "workbench". I am hoping, like an old house, a new coat of paint will make it look nice. As far as "building the interior, I give myself the grades of A for effort, F for accuracy, and a D- for results....But then again it is a Walrus...If it was a thing of beauty, it would have been given a better name.Blind Fold " target="">

Justin, now I see where the dam is going. The pic sure helped, and it looks like the original already.

Bish, Got the dmmd ship out of the way, so now it's back modeling. Starting a 1/48 Tamiya Beaufighter. For reasons of my own, I'd like to do dress it in Oz colors suitable for action in New Guinea with 5th AF where the plane earned its supper. However, if you'd rather have a RAF RAF Beaufighter, I'd be glad to oblige. Let me know. Eric

A model boat is much cheaper than a real one and won't sink with you in it.

Das, your doing a really nice job on that. My first major scratchbulding was the rear compartments oin an he 111Z, so i know how tricky it is. I had plenty of pics to go off.

Stunning effort going into this.

Hey CN, she looks beautiful! Nice work there!!!

And I'm going to take the lazy way out and just say 'Great work' to the rest of you guys so I don't risk leaving anyone out.

Got some work done this weekend on the SE5.  Added the cockpit and finished up the fueslage. Still working at getting the engine to fit.  I had to remove most of the details.

I love how well the instructions show how to attach the engine.  Nothing like the 3 monkey game of football I am playing to assemble this kit.

Looks like your having lots of fun there Scott. I hate when i have to remove detail i have spent ages adding to get somthing to fit.

having to scribble your own instructions onto the instructions is not a good sign.
