Beav:  even life preservers!  Nice!

Toshi:  decals for the bomb stripes!  I wish Airfix would think of that.  Looking good.

castel:  nmf looks great; nice work

scott:  from what little experience I've had with Roden, engine fit seems to be an issue with more than one of their offerings; looks like you're coping well

Looks like your having lots of fun there Scott. I hate when i have to remove detail i have spent ages adding to get somthing to fit.

having to scribble your own instructions onto the instructions is not a good sign.

Can't argue with that!!!!! I make my own notes sometimes but never that many!

Yes, I had no idea that there were any decals in the first place.  Thank you Tamiya!

Justin: Very cool, looking forward to seeing how the spinning prop PE looks.

Toshi: There was an article in FSM some years ago about the spinning prop PE but I don't remember which issue. And love how the Skitter is coming along- love the photos of the bombs and all the guns in the nose!

I just started working on the clear parts of the clear cowling.  Utilizing CA for the magnets, I'm very careful not to get it cloudy.

The clear cowling looks like #%^>€£>~%^!!!  So I'm going to leave everything open.  Tamiya, this is a bad call!

Some time ago, I built a Me 262 and a SBD Dauntless.  These were visible CLEAR parts that you could see through.  For the kind of money I paid, you would thing Tamiya would be a little smarter!

P.S.  The Me 262 and the SBD Dauntless were trumpeter 1/32 kits.  Shame on you Tamiya!

Toshi, Tamiya's engineering is generally so good it makes me think there was a reason for the cloudy clear part. If so, wonder what it is?

Castel, nice NMF. Yes

Beav, you're coming along well.

If I missed anyone it was not intentional.

Also looking forward to seeing the prop blur, Justin.  Haven't tried anything like that.

Toshi:  Unfortunate about the clear parts; still you're coping well.  One does wonder what manufacturers are thinking, sometimes.  I built an Enterprise for the Star Trek group build earlier this year, and a number of clear parts were included:  clear enough to see all the locating tabs and fixtures through them.  I ended up painting them on the outside.

One does wounder that after putting all that effort into this kit, the clear parts are so poor. Do you think a dip in future would help.

Perhaps some headlight polish would help. That cleared up a hazy canopy I had once.

yes, I agree completely, Tamiya's engineering is absolutely impecable without question.  But a cloudy clear part?  What kind of marijuana was this engineer smoking?  LOL!  LOL!
