Not much done today...Trying to find interior pictures of Supermarine Walrus not easily accomplished. I did some cosmetic work to seats (filed a space for stick move). "Scratched" rudder pedals and a boot for stick. I am in the process of building a new stick. Photo should be self-explanatory why.

Bish, the Canberra looks great!

Toshi, I'm enjoying the build.  I got to work on one of the Tamiya Spits a while back as part of a group build (one person did two or three steps then passed it on), and they are beautiful kits.  Just the wrong scale.  I barely have room for the 1/72 A-26 I'm building for the Multi Prop GB, don't know where I would put that monster.

Steve, that is a unique take on the Zero.  Never seen anything like it.

Should be able to start on the Sabre mid summer.  Although I feel the need to do an Airfix build for this as well.

Thank you so very much lewbud.  The Tamiya 1/32 series ie: Corsair, Zero, Mustang, Spitfire, and now this, the DeHavilland Mosquito are state of the art kits.  IMHO.  Yes, space at 1/32 can be very detrimental!  LOL!

Toshi, great work on those updates. Its nice to see such detailed posts with a build like this.

It's my pleasure.  The build can be pretty intense hence the detailed posts.

Good patch up Chris. You know that part will turn up now.

Confused   Ha !  Exactly !  I'm expecting it to pop to the surface in some incredibly obvious place as soon as I finish sanding the filler.

Well - at least I'l be hurrying it along.

WHEW!  That was like running a marathon!  I missed out on a week or two of posts, and next thing I know, the post count had tripled!  I've been so busy , I haven't been able to get to the bench, but things should be settling down in the nest few weeks.....

Meanwhile, let me just say that these builds are setting the bar awfully high!  Just to avoid missing anyone, let me just say that all of the builds look fantastic!

Keep up the good work, and keep hitting that inspiration buttom! o7

Your not kidding, its hard enouygh trying to keep up every day.

And look forward to when your able to get to the bench.

Hey all,

Still haven't found that cover for the wing's leading edge - so I decided to work with parts on hand.  Fortunately, as seen in a previous post, I had a few extra wing-leading-edge-parts that were unused in this kit.  And they have roughly the right curvature for the part I need to replace.  So I grabbed one that looked workable and began trimming it to size.

It didn'tmatch up nearly as well as I thought it would.  I guess that's the reason I have filler.  I'm glad its not a complicated geometry.  Should be easy to form and fill.

More later . . .

Crazy great work going on here guys !

Well, here goes. This is a Smer Supermarine Walrus. I am beginning to have a thing for floatplanes. (kingfisher, rufe). Just washed it and will be dealing with lots of flash. The interior is quite bland and will require some scratchbuilding which wouldn't be so bad IF I HAD EVER DONE IT BEFORE!!! I have purchased some basic Odds and Ends styrene and have been practicing my sprue stretching. Any tips or critisisms will be gladly welcomed. Enjoy.

Assembled Supercharger.  Check out the jig for the V-12! It makes sure you align the V-12.

I'm almost done with the Zero. I need to do a wash, add the prop, spray a dull coat and add the canopy. The Rising Decals were excelent BTW.

That's awesome!  Still, I'll go through the procedures.

Here is the magnet.  Don't use tweezers as the magnet will stick to the tweezers.  I use a jewelry wax tipped stick.  You can find these at Hobby Lobby.

Cheers Toshi. I just found some of those magnets on a hobby site. Look just like yours and come in several sizes, and not pricey either. Thanks for the heads up.

To Bish,

Tamiya uses Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) or rare earth magnets.  Tamiya provides them in two sizes.  Small and large.  In the next photo I'll give you a scale with the ruler.
