I've been tempted to start up a V for a while now but it's just not in the cards for me. Have just too much life getting in the way at the moment.

On Ed's bench, ???

Well, you can always check out the "show your Revell/Monogram builds" thread. At least that one gets updated with new builds now and again.

No, Finito Benito was a B-25 in the MTO, not a P-47 Wink

Well done CB. It may be late, but the end results look good. She's a real beauty! You certainly deserve kudos for perseverance and seeing this one thru to the end. YesYes

I'm ba-ack

What can I say.. It's hard to model when your in da joint.. anyway, you know I figure, eh, dis thread could use some action... so I got da old thunderbolt out and started working it over.  I fixed my goof painting invasion stripes where the old stars and bars should be by reverse masking and laying down some dark green. Then I had to come up wit some fuselage codes,   cuz some goomba skimmed the only set off the old aeromaster sheet for anutter build, if you know what I mean...  Well, I gots all da markings on and sent da kit to da cleaners for a nice bath ,  so I can lay me down some flat coat wit-out a couple years of dust under da paint.

Oh, crap, now I will have to finish  my P-47.... I have not touched it in over 1  year. I just lost all motivation for some reason... Probably has something to do with 20+ in progress builds...  Confused

Well right now I have two TBD Devastators ready for priming/paint and a Mirage 2000 not far behind. So after these 3, how about a F5-F Agressor and a P39 Airacobra to buld for 'Da family'...Capisce.

Free, no worries. Please do share your work and finish these up.

And you are so right. As a kid, each one would have been a day project to build and paint... perhaps not up to my current grown up standards, but...

Hate to drag this GB out of the ashes but I figure if I post some WIP pics of the Zero and Skipjack I might be motivated to finish them.  About 40 pcs of plastic between them and you ought to be able to bang em both out in a long weekend.  Here I am almost a year later.  So here are some pics of the Zero

That Deuce looks fantastic Steve, I wish we saw more of them here.

Here's some progress on the Corvette. The body is sprayed, but it still needs a gloss coat and a polish. There are decals for the hood, but given their age I thought I'd test them. They hold together OK, but there is a gluggy white 'glue' that seems to remain visible after the decal is applied. Has anyone got any fixes for this ? I haven't seen it for a long time and it may be specific to Monogram decals.

Since I've taken the photo I've also sprayed the chassis, and primed the engine. The chassis had quite a few sink marks that needed to be filled. It took me a long time to get my old jar of MM Chevrolet Engine Red open,  I worked out that I last opened it in 1991, but the paint looks fine now that its open.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

OK Stick, I completed the duce. Fun little build.

Sorry it took so long, I had a few other things I needed to finish up first.

Eaxctly one month overdue, I am calling this one done

Well, aside from waiting for some EZ Line to arrive so that I can add an antenna wire, I am calling this one done. This build was a good learning experience for planning to improve a few more AMT P-40s that are in my stash. But I won’t be tacking those anytime soon.

and with the Me-109F that I built last summer. Although these two exact aircraft may or may not have met in combat, their units did starting in August of 42

GMorrison

For the Don's consideration, I have a Beech Staggerwing kit from AMT that was slipped to me for deep discount at the LHS. Round2 reissue.

I've been working on 30s aircraft, might be fun.
