I am pretty sure Route62 has another in his mega-stash. That's where I got this one last year. I've already sent him an email about my situation. I will check the Quickboost though. Thanks, Jack.

Quickboost might have some replacement props for that Boeing Clipper.  Maybe not exact, but for the scale could be an idea.  Later versions  of the Twin Cyclone engine were used on Curtiss SB2C Helldiver, Douglas A-20, Grumman TBF Avenger, and the B-25 Mitchell.  I don't know for certain, so maybe the collective mind knows more?

Looking forward seeing that pile turn into a nice looking build Frank. Is there no way you can fix the props or are there parts missing.

Bish, at least one propeller has severely twisted blades and one is missing a blade that doesn't appear to be in the bag of parts. The copyright date inside the right wing is 1964. A lot can occur in 60+ years I guess. I know the decals are beyond salvation. I can get another kit locally if need be. Is that OK?

I am having a difficult time restraining myself. I have some quiet jazz playing in the background but my head is down and my fingertips are flailing away at this marvelous old kit. So many tiny windows! I have to figure how I'll mask them all when time to paint.

Out of this pile of debris will emerge a nifty Boeing 314 "What If." I may have to buy a second kit. There seems to be one or two broken propellers.

I'm in with only my second Airfix kit, ever. Their B-25 was my first and has gotten me hooked on this brand.

Anyway, I'll be building this one:

I spilled the parts for my DH-125 into a build box on my bench tonight, fondled a few parts.  I swear I'm going to keep this one simple!

Cheers, Bish.  May the Force be with you!

Checkmateking2? Is this Sgt. Saunders? Where's Caje? LittleJohn? Sometimes I'll watch Combat on YouTube while I'm at my hobby bench.

Guinness? The Force is strong with you!

Great pic check, love it. Can't beat a good movie marathon. The eldest step daugter got me season one of the series Vikins for xmas, watched that last week and just picked up season 2, so i am in for some good out raiding and pillaging tonight.

My father-in-law gave me what is left in a bottle of Glenfiddich 12, maybe two ounces. I'll have a wee dab tonight. An ounce usually puts me to sleep. Then I'll start the build tomorrow morning-ish. Whoever had this Boeing 314 kit before me pulled all of the parts off the sprue so I'll have to match up loose parts with the tattered and yellowed instruction sheet. After I scatter pieces/parts out on the work bench tomorrow, I'll take a picture for y'all. Bish, I hafta say, I'm pretty excited to be involved in my first group build.

I used to like a drop of the Glenmorangie now and again, but my favorite tipple was JD with ginger ale.

Sound slike you will have fun with that kit, do the instructions have a parts layout in them. Glad you choose it for your first GB, just make sure you have fun.

I'm very much looking forward to starting this GB.  I've got aftermarket decals gathered and waiting to get going tomorrow.

But since I've got some Guinness on hand, it won't be very early tomorrow.

Oldest daughter is returning home, and we're planning a "Lord of the Rings" movie marathon.  Over Christmas, we did "The Hobbit."

JOE RIX

Bish

And a happy New year to you Joe, and have a great time tonight with the family. I am sure you will deserve a drink or 3 after that shovelling. I take it you have had quite a bit fall over there.

Thanks Bish, will do. Although I have not had a drink in over 10 yrs, I'm happy to be the DD for my wife so she can cut loose. She absolutely deserves it. As for the snow, we are delighted to see it. We suffered one of the driest years on record in Utah last year. Thus, it is a welcome sight. That does not make it any more fun to shovel though.

Make it some soft ones then, you and me both. Be 12 years in March since i had a drink.

Our summer was hot and dry this year, no sign of snow yet thoguh, but i am sure it will come.

Well, I won't be getting started at the stroke of midnight. We have a yearly get together with family and friends to ring in the new year. But, I plan on getting some sprue cut upon awakening. Today though, after shoveling snowSuper Angry, I will be clearing the deck for flight operations.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

Almost there guys. The GB will begin at Midnbight GMT. So, if you don't have plans to go out clubbing or you havn't got a bit group round to see in the new year, feel free to begin tonight. My better half is up at 5.30 tomorrow for work so she will be in bed early, the kids are all away for a few days so i will be up all alone and will make a start on mine as Big Ben rings out.
