Mark,

Nice job on the Romulan and Ferengi!  Either the pics of your next project have been banned or didn't come through.

Dodgy,

Looking forward to seeing your 247 come together.

Rob,

Your Scammell is outstanding!  It's a most interesting build to watch.

I am reposting the pics of my next "shelf" queen...

two big milestones today. dry-fitted cab wheels and the cab is on. now all i need is a damn replacement radiator (or to find a way to cover it - some proof of a sadn cover to protect it from a sandstorm would be useful (for any vehicle used by any side in North Africa to be honest).

and the load has re-appeared... really looking forward to starting the painting on this one

Having sub assemblies built means it progress in blocks... rear wheel mountings added, air filter, exhaust, steering column and linkage (need to paint the steering wheel and lever then that will be added and then the sides of the cab.

Rob you're giving me the itch to start mine! Trouble is I have some group builds and ongoing projects to attend to first.

can't recommend the kit highly enough....

so, seats, 2 boxes and some levers in... next up steering column & linkage and exhaust I believe (Still no sign of replacement radiator and TM have gone VERY silent on it :-()

Khaki Green #3 (according to Mike Starmer's excellent treatise on British WWII scheme's the factory colour) is on. Chipped the cab floor to show some of the wood and faded it in places. Should allow for the cab to be fitted (and engine) and then the cab interior to be added as well as decals for the dials....

The maurader is quite a bit smaller than the Warbird Ed. Here is a pic showing both ships...

and another for a greater perspective of the maruaders size...

She's a beauty Mark. I'm not really up on this subject so what kind of size difference is the Marauder?

Finally, after 30+ years, I can cross this off the list, or should I say take her off the "shelf of doom"...

And its companion piece the Ferngi Marauder...

And now blow to the dust off another doomed shelf queen. This one is a little more conventional although almost as old...

Must be close to 15 years or more since I last held this kit. I think I'm going to have to chisel off the dust before I start!

nice starting canvas... look forward to more of this...

done some more work on rear axles and wheels but photos are of engine and cab floor in situ ( all just placed for the moment). I think I will prime the cab, chassis etc and trailer this weekend (may even get the factory colour down on the cab interior)

started tarting up the engine... nothing to show just yet but going to do the rust purely with pigment as it looks very faded... and then black pigment & engine grime for the black gunk seen in a couple of photos

Looking great. My modeling efforts have come to a complete standstill at the moment. Hope to get some more work done this week as i have several builds on the go. Also have a great idea for a Dunkirk diorama involving Brit trucks thats bouncing around inside my head.

yep lack of *** can be a pain... it wil come back....

back to the building desk after a weekend of painting. Some more work on the chassis - this time the trailer coupling. Used a guide from the Panzerserra build (http://panzerserra.blogspot.com/2018/03/scammell-pioneer-trmu30-tractor-with.html) to make the coupling more robust...

and the first "semi mating" of tractor and trailer (need more supports on the chassis before it looks more accurate...
