That turned out great.

I'm moving along on my build too.  I've got a base light gray overall coat on, but still need to do a little clean up arond the canopy and tail joint.  After that I'm going to try and add some darker (medium gray) spots on the upper horizontal surfaces and then try and add some markings.  I've also been thinking of adding just a little bit of light olive green on the wing tips and trailing edge of the outboard vertical tails (to match the spinner) as a sort of squadron recognition marking (you may be able to see just a bit of paint I have added as a trial for now).

I still have to add some spots to the left side vertical tail and wings, and then clean up the canopy, control panel, landing gear, canons and a few other small things as well as add markings  but the build is getting closer to finish.

My model is slowly getting closer to being finished.  Along the way I decided to alter the paint job a littl.  I was having some issues trying to clean up the spots that I had already painted and wasn't looking forward to trying to do the wings in spots so I tried doing a 4 tone grey splinter pattern with broad borders and I kind of liked how it looked so I am going back to redo the vertical tail surfaces, and I also redid the top of the fuselage in a solid Medium Gray color.  From looking at the photo I see that I need to touch up the paint in a few spots.

After that I need to attach the left side canon, add the control panel and paint and install the canopies, landing light cover, and pitot tube.  Then after that it should just be adding markings and maybe some light weathering, etc.

Weirdly from this angle the nose reminds me a bit of a P-51 too!

Sorry for taking so long to finish this up.  Work and home kind of got in the way of progress for a while, and I also spent a week or so waiting on a new canopy and some decals from eBay.  (I accidentally crushed the kit's original canopy )

Mostly I just have to add the decals and affix the canopy, as I think I'm going to hold off on any weathering for a little while.

Here's what I have in mind for the national markings.  They will be a red falcon head with a gold crown on a white sheild with a black border on the wings or a white band with black borders on the fuselage (roughly like shown below).

I'll probably also add some of the numbering and lettering from the original Ju-87 kit.

PS.  While I was waiting for the decals to arrive, I did mess around a little with a simple tank model (that still needs a little more work) and I also bought this Oxford "Lego-like" kit of USS Arizona on a whim

Pat, that looks like an awesome design for a plane, something that could have been propsed by the German or British aircraft manufactures. I almost looks Seafury-ish, nice job!

I like that Arizona. For a ship that really didn't do anything except sink (no disrespect intended to the great loss of life or tho the moral impact it caused) it sure is a popular subject. I can't pick out a tank like I can a plane or ship but that looks like a M46 Pershing sort of?!?

Cool tank and ship- the faceted turret on the tank makes me think of late war Japanese tanks.

I think I'm just a step or three from being done now.  I still need to add the landing light lens (once I find it) and the pitot tube, then glue the aft canopy in place (I want to make sure the decals are good and set before messing with that).

In the end, I think it does look a little British/Royal Navy-ish, a little German, and maybe even just a bit Italian too.

PS.  As for the tank, you are right Modelcrazy, it is/was an old Lindberg M46 that I modified the turret on and addded side skirts too (though they are kind of hard to see).  I was trying to make it look like some sort of alternate reality "Police Tank" I guess.

My intent is to try and add a camoflage pattern similar to the one on this "Forces of Valor" M26 over the top of the black and white paint job, so that whereever the brown paint is on the M26 I will have either Light Gray or Dark Gray (depending on whether the rest of that area is White or Black.  Once I finish painting it I bought some 1/43 scale police decals and a set of Blue and Red lights and a siren for ontop.

Now that I look at it though I think Gamera is right, it does look a bit Japanese.  Maybe it could be part of the Police's "Anti-Godzilla" defense forces (since I'm not sure why else a Police Dept would need an actual tank for)

I dunno about a police tank- I remember the story about the guy who stole a M60 from a National Guard base and was cruising down the freeway smooshing cars left and right. You might need a tank to take care of guys like that!

There was an anime "Techno Police", where the story was about crooks who steal an army prototype tank, and the heroes board their own hi-tech tank and go after the baddies.  IIRC, the good guys' tank had ejector seats - and they DID use them in the end!

I thiink I'm ready to call my airplane done.  I wasn't able to find the pitot tube to install it but I was able to add the radio antenna, the aft canopy, and landing light, so I think that's pretty muchly all that was left to do.

This picture came out a little dark, so I will try and post a better one tomorrow.
