Mongoose incredible detail in your cockpit there – you really are going all out on that – it is a treat watching this progress. And that is some very neat PE work there
Stik, there is a lot of work going into the X-35 to get it up to scratch. So many extra details. Nice work detailing the cockpit and the test boom has come up well.
Glamdring, the Freedom is looking good, it is annoying about that gap under the bridge. The PE details do make it pop.
Bish, really good work with the Harrier, it is a ripper! The scheme looks suitably weary, but still cared for. Delicate work on the ladder there too.
Oortiz, in this case the ‘BIG O’ What a monster build! I can’t think of where that would fit in my house… You have done some amazing work wrestling that plane into shape. Great Camo work – and the splash of colour with the FOD covers is a good touch.
Theuns, super looking Phantom there, like the shark mouth and the colourful tail make it stand out.
PJ, great work on the Tomcat too- again a colour scheme brightened by the tail and sharkmouth – and the same air group as Theuns. And great to hear it is being presented – nothing like knowing it is going to an interested recipient.
The Melbourne is back to being my modelling focus, so it is (very slowly) progressing.
The hull, superstructure and bridge are prepared ready for painting. You can see the Main mast and various towers also assembled.
The first couple of coats that went on have not been a good match for the Haze Grey finish, think I am getting closer, next try is a mix of Gunze IJN grey and FS 36720.
There are a lot of little details to be adding that are not in or wrong in the kit. First is the boat, which I am modifying to be the final RHIBs used on the Melbourne. Quite a bit of detail added, then I will have to use it as a master to cast off as I need two for the Melbourne. (Also have to scratch and cast a few other bits)
