Steve, add my 1/350 bismarck and 1/350 Z-30 destroyer to my list please! The Z-30 will be a crossover from the SS GB.
I have officially started working on the Bismarck. Here is where she sits now.
Bish Looking good PJ.
Looking good PJ.
Thanks Bish.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
modelcrazy That's really looking good PJ.
That's really looking good PJ.
Thanks Steve.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Brushed on several coats of Future for decal application and deck washes, then clear flat acrylic will be sprayed for further artist oil weathering. I chose the alligator tower art of U20 from the 1st U Boat Flotilla stationed at Kiel.
Rusting the base
I haven't though of that.
Thanks guys. Was gonna go with hairspray and rust on the base but decided to do a marbling scheme. The kit has some nice decals for the base so that will be coming up soon along with some weathering just to give the base a ”salty” look.
I like the look of that PJ, and nice job on the base.
Looks great PJ. I like what you did with the base.
I better get that submarine warfare badge worked up for you.
Nice.
Last post for 2020, shot the grey. Weathering to follow
That battle wagon looks awesome
Cool! I was thinking paper.
modelcrazy Looking good Marcus. I really like the work you did to the small boat strapping. What did you use?

Steve,
Thank you. I used EZ-Line white, heavy line.
Marcus
Merry Christmas everyone! Its has been awhile since I posted last due to some recovery time for a schedule surgery.
Installed the ships boats, anchors, railings on the boat deck and a few odds and ends.
Top down view.
A couple of bow shots just for the heck of it.
Well that all for now. Can't decide to install the shelfing for the torpedo nets first and then install the main deck railings or the railings first and then the torpedo net decking. Any way until the next post, be safe.
modelcrazy Wow PJ, that's some tiny work.
Wow PJ, that's some tiny work.
It’s sure is Steve. I lost one of the shoulder support parts that flew into oblivion so I fashioned one out of very thin wire.
Mopar Madness PJ, I hope you have a good Optivisor!
PJ, I hope you have a good Optivisor!
Yep, can’t work without them

God, Family, Models...
At the plate: 1/48 Airfix Bf109 & 1/35 Tamiya Famo
On deck: Who knows!
UThanks Steve. Amazing work going on this GB. Great job gents.
Shot the tiny feller today with Nato Black and assembled the tiny deck gun. The wheels on the mount and gun shoulder supports were a PITA to put together.
More paint and weathering to follow.
Coming right along PJ.
Bish, no worries no hurries
Nice work on those u-baots guys, coming on nicely.
I plan on getting back to my type VII as soon as my Chieftain is finished. Should early in Jan. I am looking forward to getting the hull together.
Chad, i am looking forward to seeing that LWS. Deffinetly need to one of those to the stash.
I’m back to work on the U Boat that was put aside due to more urgent matters. The diving planes, prop shafts , rudders, net cutter and gun deck railings were added this evening. The darn railings are so fragile and thin that broke on me 3 times. I was able to repair them back together and you can’t tell they were damaged at all.
Large parts or not that looks good with the primer. It shouldn't be too hard to piece that steering gear back together
IIRC the LWS was a useful thing fording rivers on the Eastern Front.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
GreySnake i see what you mean by some parts are oversize. That rudder and shaft assembly looks supersized on that little sub! Looks good so worth the your effort. Can't wait to see the finished product
In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!
