Cool idea! I don't have anything for Messerschmitt but I could probably find something in the stash for Focke-Wulf.

Looks like I need to use a different hosting site for pics. Imgur works on other forums I'm on...

Figured it out. I can't use the app on my phone. It doesn't have the correct links to post.

Gamera,

I know you don't know me, and I'm relatively new to the forum, but you're more than welcome to this kit at no charge. I'd only ask that you cover the shipping. It was given to me at least fifteen years ago, and I WILL NOT build it. Better yet would be a trade if you happen to have a Hasegawa F-15C drop tank in 1/48. Then I'd cover the shipping of this kit to you. Let me know.

If I were to do a wingy thing, it would most likely be that unmentioned aircraft.

From the Vickers end, I've both a Valentine and a Light Tank Mk VIc.

Wait - so Bish does not like that famous aircraft that could go supersonic, uphill, both ways, in the rain?!  That won the day for Britain in Her Finest Hour?  That was so adept at ridding the sky of Luftwaffe aircraft that on that pleasant summer day in 1940, thousands of Nazi warplanes met their end - and not so much as a single RAF fighter had taken off?  THAT airplane? Man, why the hate on the Hawker Hurricane?  Stick out tongue

Bish-

GOR 339 was issued by the Ministry of Supply in November 1956. The specification was for a replacement of the EE Canberra with a low level Mach capable strike bomber.

Out of the competing firms, EE and Vickers-Armstrongs were selected to jointly develop what eventually became the TSR-2.

I was thinking about carrying it on into the days of BAC, bt then its start to get complicated with all the mergers and so on. So i set the deadline to 1960 when the Supermarine name became defunct.

Beshides, i do plan on doing another Airfix GB in a couple of years, so if anyone does happen to have their TSR.2, they can always enter it then.

Bish
But on reflection i might stick to German and British ones and leave the US, Japan and other to other people.

Won't bother me if you do a Boeing build. I was also thinking MD, Lockheed, Vought, Martin, Curtiss, ETC. as well as Mitsubishi, Nakajimi, Kawasaki (which would include bikes) and so on. there's enough manufactures to last a century of GB's

Yes I think I've built enough of the ATSNBN for a lifetime. I do have the floatplane racer, a little Airfix kit in a baggie; around somewhere.

Some years ago I build the Matchbox kit of the Stranraer. I really enjoyed it. Where I learned that the camo colors on the upper wing were slightly different than those on the lower.

Short list of aircraft for which there are kits.

Supermarine:

S-5

ATSNBN

Stranraer

Walrus

Attacker

Swift

Scimitar

Bish

Well as it happens i was thinking about what companies i could do after these do and did think about Boeing for 2022, which i thought would fit as i am already planning an 8th AF Gb for that year to mark the 80th Anniversary. But on reflection i might stick to German and British ones and leave the US, Japan and other to other people. I think after doing tehse 2 next year, i migth stick to one per year and alternate between British and German companies.

Hmm, I don't have any of Supermarine left in my stash. Next year I'll be moving and buying a home, so time will be an issue. If I can work it in, then I'll be on board.

Oh my gosh. Now I've see everything. 2020 will go down in history as the strangest year on record. A Supermarine GB! Getting might close to the "Aircraft That Shall Not Be Named"

Bish
Maybe we can make this an annual thing, a different company each year.

I've kinda been thinking that same idea after my Boeing build, what seems like decades ago now

I'll look through the list and see what I have or will get. I'm thinking a Walrus at the moment. Oddly enough, Bish and I are probably the only ones on here without a "ATSNBN" in the stash.

I might just look at a Mitsbishi GB next year

Just to be clear, the 2 GB's will be run speratly but at the same time. So yes, i will be running 2 GB's concurrently, at least until July when it will be 3.

If its listed on either of those 2 links, the Supermarine one and the Vickers one, it can be included, so yes, that means the Wimpy. So there also some vehicles listed there as well. If you think it should be tehre and isn't, just ask and i will look into it.

I have a number of Supermarines of a particular type, so I'd be glad to be part of the GB.

Since Martin obviously has a skewed sense of beauty, I propose to do a Wellesley, perhaps that will brighten his mood.

Considering what you're going though here Bish I'll consider it though I really want to see if I can get what I'm working on now finished up first.

Bish I'm a little confused on what can be built for this one.  I have a Wimpy in the stash if that's good
