Afternoon all!

Received the paint today.

Should be a update either tonight or tomorrow if time allows.

I have the cockpit off the sprues, now it needs a primer coat them the base colors.

Steve, lets use the 2nd to last facing the commander.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I really enjoy armor builds for sure. I am addicted to them now.

Gam, the paint is about 4 layers of various dark to light Tamiya paints, much lighter than one would consider, but the effect is amazing. Most of the color is provided by the Vallejo Soviet WWII camo set and the lightest color is Tamiya XF-71 if you can believe that. Layering is where its at on armor for sure.

Don't feel bad G.... I haven't had much ambition the last half of the year.  Looking like I'll be doing a double at the same time.

Santa, my gift is much appreciated, and will get done, even if late.

That looks great!

Brandon, that looks magnificent!  You must share your Russian green recipe to get that effect.

Dear Santa, I have been a bad boy and let your wonderful gift linger far too long.  I will make it up though!  Desert yellow has been laid down and the tracks are almost done.  Tomorrow the roadwheels are on tap.

Hey everyone! Hope eveeryone had a great thanksgiving and is doing well. I am sorry I have not been active on here. Bought our new house, granted we closed on it in the last week of September, almost a full 2 months late after delays with appraisals and other craziness.

Then in October I started to get my modeling room set up and all of that set up, and then the old lady got a new job where she is working from home. So her new office is sharing my hobby/model room. Had to pack up what little stuff I had unpacked and reorganize everything. Got her office side done and havent even started on the other side where I will be doing my modeling.

Everyone's models are looking outstanding! I promise I will get back to mine ASAP. Especially my SS model. I am super excited to get it finished up. I will do my best to be more active on here. Cheers.

Ok, Gents. I am calling this one done. What a great kit. Another Trumpeter armor build and not disappointed in anyway. I love these Trumpy armor kits. Well made and easy builds that look great. Thank you SS for this wonderful gift. I hope I did it justice.

Hello friends. Another weathering update. The hull and wheels have been given a filter of raw umber oil, and streaks with raw umber and black. Still very faint at this point.  Next will come more strategic streaking, but I will let all this dry overnight.

Hello friends.  Not the best quality pictures here but heres the next update.  The kit was sprayed with gloss then I applied a black wash around the top of the hull and removed the excess.  The bottom of the hull was saturated with thinned black enamel to further accentuate the muck.  I then, very lightly, applied thinned black streaking from the top of the hull down.  Tomorrow I'll add a filter or two and streak again with some various earth tones before I apply a matte coat.

Chad, from experience I can say that squiggle camo is the most difficult to do. Well done. It look amazing.
