I'm finally finished with my deck repair project. Which means I was able to spend some time n the paint booth! Today's goal was to paint the camo and start the tracks.
I think the camo will look good under some weathering. I decided to try free handing the green. If it had sprayed like the yellow it would have been a no-go. For some reason the yellow wanted to spritz out of the airbrush instead of spray lol. The green thinned down nice though. I can still see some dots from stopping and starting tho. Those are the ones that will probably blend in when it's weathered. Fingers crossed. Any other ideas toss them my way.
next up was the tracks. Washed in soap and water a few days ago. Primered in black. Mottled on some earthen brown, panzer dark rust, and a light rust. Oversprayed with steel and then some more earth.
id like to say they look better in person...but I'd be lying! I think when i sprayed the steel (from about 12" away) it still just covered too much. I'm going to have to go check out some of BK's tracks in other threads i think. Maybe just some pigments and some brush painting? Other ideas?
