So I have this ICM Mk VIII in 1/48 scale and some old Aeromaster Decals. I'll be good as long as the decals hold up and build this shark mouth Spitfire from 457 Squadron.

Lost, hopefully will only use the aftermarket if it adds :) There was a thing about these aircraft needing Sutton Harnesses, I covered the bases with that although I now know the kit actually has one. I'm told it hasn't got the reflector sight though (so money well spent), and I've seen several different views of the paint colours required so this is going to need a certain amount of guesswork. Anyone with a good clear picture of the wing-mounted gun camera fancy trading, please say!

Bob, great choice, the P-40/Kittyhawk was a stalwart for the RAAF in the desert and PTO.

Proposed aftermarket : Montex masks, SAC undercarriage, Brengun flaps and reflector sights, HGW Models seatbelt and Airscale placards just in case the model looks like it needs them.

Yeah, those guys had guts to spare. And I love the Boomerang since it's an entirely Aussie aircraft instead of something bought from somewhere else like a Spit or P-40.

It was a tough bugger Gamera, awsome ground support job, but no match for any Jap fighter. The number of Aussie airman killed in training and those sent to fight the Japs in obsolete aircraft is truly sad. They knew they had no chance but went anyway. Volunteers the lot of em.

Would it be fair dinkum if the bloody kit was already stahrted? I av a raaf 1/72 'asegawah Mitchell Mk.iii with RAAF mahrkings I could finish fawr this. Basically all I av done is pahrtially assemble the bloody interiawr. The RAAF version is a pretchoo dardy Bahah metal finish, mate. I was gonnah do in RAF mahrkings with a olive drab 'n light blue bottom, but thats just ***in' bawrin' ****. Bloody oath cobber.

Is this acceptable? Never built a vacform before, but I've got good references, lots of patience and grog!
G'day Lost. I was going to enter this with an old Otaki MkVIII Spit. But if crossovers are ok, I will go with a vacform 1/32 Boomerang that I'm about to start on for the ground support GB.
Running the Supermarine GB must be really hurting you Bish!
