Japanese Group Build XII
Rules
*Start Date January 1, 2023
*End Date December 31, 2023
*Japanese subjects which I'll define as operating under the Japanese flag, aka a captured P-40 flown by a Japanese pilot would be kosher
*Cross-overs are welcome
*Pre-started are fine as long as they're under 10-20% finished (light assemby)
*Any 'roll-over' subjects from JGB XI are welcome
* No cut-off date for entry, you can enter on Dec 30 if you can build the model in a day
And most important have fun guys and gals!

Nick.
Sure Nick, I'll put you down. And that's cool, first airliner we've had best I can remember.
BTW: what brand and scale is that? Sorry, I don't know squat about civil aviation kits.
Hi Gamera, Put me down for Tamiya 1/72 Ki-61 Hien for starters...

Okay, got you changed out!
I appreciate everyone who supports me on this forum. I have a lot planned for 2023 but I will join to support you. I have plenty of kits I just need to find an easy one that won't slow me down. I'll let you know what I come up with. Put me down as tbd.

Greysnake: My apologies- I updated the roster with your Type 10 last night but forgot to state on here that I'd done so. In any case you're updated and ready to go!
Brandon: Thanks man, you've always been ready to support me and everyone else. Don't sweat it, if you don't have time to get to something here it's fine. I'll put you down though!
And a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS folks!!!
Tamiya 1/48 Ki-84A Frank, I have two, can't have that. Should be a simple one.

The Tamiya kit a pretty easy build from what I recall. If I remember correctly the wing root does need some filler.
I'm in with the Tamiya 1/48th A6M2 Rufe I didn't get to this year.
Thanks,
Excellent selections guys- you can't really go wrong with a Tamiya kit!
And Merry Christmas gentlemen!
Picked this up as a Christmas present for myself, going to try to get her built for my contribution this year:
Merry Christmas to all!

Boy shipping on that thing must have cost a fortune!

Actually oddy enough it wasn't that bad. I'd ordered some other stuff from HLJ for Christmas gifts so it helped balance it out. It cost me about a hundred bucks US shipping but I saved about a bit over a hundred since Japanese kits are cheaper from HLJ so it all evened out in the end.
It's insane- Aoshima car kits can run over $70 bucks here but from HLJ they're about $30. So order a few for Christmas presents and it makes a difference.
Merry Christmas to you too CB!!!

Sounds cool!
Nice Choice!
It's a nice kit! I've looked her over and everything looks great. Just looking at the parts I'd swear it were a 1/25th scale kit- it's big parts are good for my fumbly aging fingers.
The whole design is just friggin' batguano insane, I had to have the thing out of the sheer weirdness.
