Guy's,

I have no objection of any members adding to their anitial contribution, in this GB I've added extra's to mine and I'll no doubt add other's during the cours of the time span.

Roy,

The Bismarck is almost completed, I'll post final pix for you before I had it over to the customer.

Well, after a minor altercation with a misplaced cockpit housing, and hence a misfitting fuselage, I now have the SBD joined up. I have seen positive comments about Hasegawa kits in the past, and I have to say - I don't think I have met a better fitting kit. No fill needed down any fuselage seams at all. And the wings went together a charm. Next challenge is masking for the paint job. Went to the LHS today to buy paints for the kits I have underway ... and then actually forgot the blues I need for the SBD [:S] ... so I am stalled a bit Sad [:(]

Pictures to come Wink [;)]

Well, played with the camer last night and learde a few new tricks (manual settings for different types of lighting and adjustments for the macro setting ie: super close ups Big Smile [:D])
Anyway here are some progress picks. Doesn't look like I've done a whole lot but Its a learning experience for me as it is my first major PE undertaking.

That little bit of railing between the bridge and funnel took about 10 hrs and 4 attempts so make sure you tell me how good it looks!

These guns are about 1/4" (5cm) accross and yes... I am losing my mind heehee!!!

I have the next 4 weeks off due to the fact that I am between jobs at the moment so I hope to get lots done in that time. I have a really good job lined up and if and when it comes through (I'm about 90% sure it will) I intend to celebrate by picking up a new toy. A 1/32 TBF? Maybe I can do some markings in one of Essex's Squadons? Hmmm...

razordws,

Excellent work on your carrier, I know what your saying about time spent on small bits, I've got a 400 scale Bismarck almost completed that is a contract build, lots of fiddly bits and I haven't got to the railing stage as yet.

lodni_k,

You can add your B 29a 'Bock's Car' if you would like too, it fits into the Pacific GB

razordws,

Posting pix of the Bismarck when completed is no problem, as Roy would like to see her finished also.

OK...I can finally post some pics-- although progress is very slow as I wait for the Eduard Detail set-- but as I have said- I am working on the TBD-1 Devastator and have decided on doing George Gay's mount. I am holding off on actual building until I get that detail set, but decided to do the torpedo ahead of time. First off, here is a pic of George Gay's Devastator with the torpedo mounted:

And here is my attempt at recreating it:

And here is the final product overall:

And that's about it for now Wink [;)]

Jason your Ki-44 is looking good, Are your meatballs decals or did paint yours. The reason I ask is because my decals were not any good for my Tamiya Zeke and I air brushed mine on. I will post pics soon, I have to finish the canopy first.

G'day Guy's,

Jason,

Your Ki 44 is looking good so far, [I was helping a friend with one of these in 72 scale, but his is the Green/Grey with the brown mottle].

Jeeves,

Progressing slowly that torpedo looks good.

As for me well for those few that know me, I've been completing some of the consignment builds, when the Bismarck goes I have a 32 scale F 15e to start on, as well as teaching a friend how to use an airbrush and my Scale Magic Resin component and conversion marketing, with a couple of repair or repaint jobs of my own model subjects.

This is the sideview of the RAAF's intended B 24j Liberator is based on, provided the decal sheet arrives for this build, or it may get changed to something bland.

Two of which I've posted here, the Beaufighter is a post in the A/C forum.

rob I've also got the 109 in the same pattern waiting to get painted with the mottle. Should I put the decals on first the paint around them or what?
